es His Biggest Problem With The College Football Playoff
© John Jones-USA TODAY Sports
Over the weekend, NBA Hall of FamerCharles Barkley explained his issue with the College Football Playoff...
quote:

“Here’s my problem with the whole thing as a player, they penalize because they lost their starters. Well wait a minute you showed total disrespect to the backups.’ That was my whole problem. Hey, you know how much I love Coach Saban and Alabama. I mean, I don’t like Alabama, I like Coach Saban. Winning with backups should have gave you brownie points, not penalize you.

“If we’re gonna play sports now where it only matters if you’re using your starters, I don’t want to be in that world. They won three games with a backup and another backup. To be honest with you, I’m really looking forward to the playoffs now that I went on my rant. I have zero idea who’s going to win those two games because we got four elite teams and I’m gonna be watching.

“I can’t root for Alabama under any circumstances. I love Coach Saban. He’s been great to me. But I can never root for Alabama. Under any circumstances. I told you if they played Afghanistan, I’d be pulling for Afghanistan.”

I’m with Chuck. The Afghanistan team is the bomb. Screw Bama.

Well, a Bama hater thinks Bama shouldn’t be in the playoffs. Who would have thought? Shocking I tell u.

100% correct especially since they discounted 1 MONTH of practice for the back up AB or number 3 guy. MORE THAN FALL CAMP. It actually would give FSU an advantage not the other way around.

JUST FLAT OUT STUPID.

I agree with the overall perspective, but doesn't 1-loss Texas look kinda like Bama sitting there in front of undefeated FSU? Texas lost to OU, who ended up losing to Kansas and Ok State. I have no love for Bama, but Bama isn't the ONLY imperfect team voted in over FSU. Why is Texas above reproach?

Easy answer. Rival hate and Bama fatigue. The only people I give a pass to are FSU fans. I get it. There’s not one other fan base that would not feel jilted in the same situation. But everyone else are just haters and people who don’t want Bama in.

I don't think I want any of the 4 to win

Umm Chuck that’s all well and good but it isn’t the only reason FSU is on the outside looking in. But when you have an admitted hater opining about stuff like this, lots of luck getting a reasoned opinion.

What’s worse is not punishing a team that got skullfricked at home on national tv.

You mean like when Texas lost to Oklahoma?

Skullfricked at home? Damn, must have missed a game Alabama played this year somehow? I did see a game Bama lost to Texas after leading well into the 4th quarter. Maybe we’re talking about the same game and you just saw the final score and pulled your words out of your arse because you don’t know what you’re talking about.

My issue is that they said they are punishing them for losing their starting quarterback instead of just having a shite schedule with shite SoS.

No they said both. People just want to be outrageous because even if Alabama I'd undefeated most people don't want them in the playoffs or a championship game

In a conf that went 6-4 against the sec. And why does Wash get a pass ? Let’s not act like the pac 12 is any good.

UW gets a pass because they were undefeated too and at least had quality wins against Oregon.

FSU lost their quality wins when LSU lost 3 games and Clemson shite the bed.
