Are We Liking or Hating ABC's Revamped SEC Theme?

This theme music is bottom tier. It reminds me of standing in line at an older attraction at Disney.

Sounds like an 80s sitcom.

How in the frick do they barely include Alabama? The team that's won 7 of the last 10 SEC Championships, and is the greatest college football program in the history of the sport? Like what?

Imagine making a SEC basketball intro and barely including Kentucky.

If I were simply listening to the music I would expect to hear Keith Jackson’s voice. It has the distinct throwback feel without the good throwback feels.

Some of yall are insufferable. Quit complaining. Its an intro. Also, the teams represented with be dictated by the game that day. Do you think a football is gonna spiral slow-mo with an Arkansas patch on it if UK is playing UT? Do you think an OU and UT helmet will collide for LSU v. Auburn? Some of yall have 3 brain cells.

the sec made a mistake getting rid of CBS. their production of games was the best. for a little more money, SEC fans will have to settle for "not near as good".

Thats turble. So they showcase OU and UT helmets with the SEC emblem at the beginning. Screw that. UT had way more screen time than anybody. The only action play showing LSU is Max Johnson getting sacked. At the end of the music it felt like I should hear, "Hello San Diego, I'm Ron Burgundy".

This is a revision of ESPN's staple CFB intro song in the mid 90's to early 2000's. Unfortunately the old version is better. I at least give them props at an attempt to stick with tradition. CBS raided the vault and dusted off their 80's intro song when they landed the SEC on CBS contract, and did not revise it one bit. The first time they played it I was excited that they brought it back, and it stuck for over two decades. I would have felt the same way if it was untouched, but if you are going to revise it, at least add excitement to it.
