Could only be one of several things:
- undiagnosed stroke
- full Quincy Carter coke head
- Instagram girlfriend gave him the AIDS
...Carson Beck is DOG shite!!!!!

I keep seeing people say this but he didn’t have Ladd and Brock especially together in that many games last year. They both missed time. He was able to play well without them last year.
I'm glad somebody said it. Bowers missed a month and wasn't the same after that and McConkey either had a hurt back or a bad ankle for most of the season, and yet Carson Beck was still a badass.

There was reason Bennett started over Beck in that UAB game and never looked back. Beck is just not what we thought he was. Dude cashed in on hype. He does not look like a guy that had a chip on his shoulder from that SEC title game

Another victim of NIL.
I really think this is it, and have been wondering since he got the lambo. It's like he bought his own hype and lost the drive to succeed.
Saturday should wake him up harder than 2008 Tim Tebow after the Ole Miss loss.

Just realized what Athens neighborhood he lives in. Lord at the life these guys have.

I thought Beck had a Maserati SUV but I read over and over about a Lambo. Maybe the problem is his Louis Vuitton handbag. Should've bought Gucci.

Kirby will cover for him again and blame the receivers for dropped passes (partly true).

I don’t really remember dropped passes yesterday to be honest other than the one in the end zone to Stanford TE

What the frick is wrong with Beck
I'm beginning to wonder if Beck has an eyesight problem.
Last night he threw directly to 2 defenders standing right in front of his apparent target for one of the interceptions.
Beck had only 6 interceptions all of last season.
He has already had 11 INTs so far this season.
I know we lost 2 great receivers in Bowers and McConkey and our receivers this season aren't as good and have dropped a lot of passes but to me that still doesn't explain Beck's lack of accuracy and poor judgement on some of these pass plays.
I would think the trainers test players for vision issues but maybe Beck has developed color blindness or a astigmatism that is affecting his play.
He obviously looked perplexed on the sidelines and kept hitting the sides of his helmet with both hands in frustration.
Maybe the poor guy needs glasses or contacts.
Some players wear eye black to reduce reflection from the sun or stadium lights.
Maybe all that eye black was an outward expression of vision issues.

In warmups yesterday, he missed warmup throws like three throws in a row

"He just isn't who we thought he was...."
I just raise my eyebrow at all of these comments. The guy is 3rd in the SEC (toughest conference in the nation) in passing yards and TDs, his team is 7-1 and we are acting as if he has just turned into a tub of goo. He's throwing too many INTs, YES, I agree....but to think the kid is somehow a bust, I just don't understand this. But that's just me....

I have been thinking eyesight might be a part of the problem for weeks now. Be interesting to look back through all the hits he’s taken, starting with Kentucky and see if possibly he took a hit that could have cause a mild concussion that hasn’t obviously affected his cognitive abilities but may have affected his vision/processing what he sees.

I’ve never been around a D1 training staff but would hope the receivers and QB are checked for eyesight as part of their medical screening.

You would think…but maybe not super often?

Vision and eyesight are 2 different things.
Vision is the ability to process a bunch of moving people and know where the ball needs to end up. While 8- 12 large dudes are moving a few yards from you and half of them are a second away from knocking the shite out of you. Part of it is a gift. Some of it involves a ton of understanding what is going to happen before it happens. A lot of QB mistakes are made when their brain assumes a defender isn’t going to be where he ends up. That happened twice in the UF game.
I think when the film guys break this game down, they will show you that UF was dropping their LBs deeper into coverage and taking away our intermediate cross game. Then you will see our adjustments. Why plays like that angle route to Cash was able to go for a TD as one example.

Yeah…I guess what I was trying to express was the possibility that something thing could have affected, temporarily, his ability to process what he was seeing. Something not necessarily associated with actual eyesight but the visual processing.
I was wondering if acmildly concussive hit my frick with visual processing without giving other outward signs of trauma.
I’m no doctor and I didn’t spend any time in the arena at a high level. Just a normal guy with a speculative question.

I’ve heard if you have a blind spot, you may not know you have one. That’s why whenever you go to the eye doctor, they make you do that damn “do you see the blinking lights in your peripheral vision” machine

I guess it is possible. I feel like Doctors would pick stuff like that up, but thats an assumption.

I hate the way he misses tackles, misses coverage assignments, gives up 44 pts to Bama and 30 pts to Fla.. I especially hate how he misses balls that hit his hands. Yeah, let’s get rid of a generational arm talent because he is depended on to produce 80% of our offensive. He did make two errors in judgement in that game.
