I don’t know the severity of Humphry’s injury and hope it’s small. Any others?

Brinson gonna be out for quite a while with a calf strain

Humphrey likely broke his clavicle which would be seasoning ending

Other than that, no injuries

Damn. And Humphrey was doing well. I saw Zion go down on that same play but don't know if he returned to action.

Gripping. They did a bang up job. People were leaping out of their seats when it ended

Was there anything to Ladd's injury? Did he have a laceration?

Kirby didn’t make Zion’s injury sound bad. Sounds like it is something he has been dealing with for a while. That being said, I could see us saving him for the SECCG. Regarding Humphrey, I know he is one of our speedier CB’s. We were starting to play him more situationally, but I heard someone mention they thought he had just switched in for Everette for good as the starter right before the injury. Was that the case? If so, I didn’t realize.

It looked that way to me althoguh there's no way to really know. Last week against missouri's excelelnt passing he started getting a lot more snaps and played really well. To start on Saturday daylen was getting beat a little bit then got benched in favor of humphrey. As for whether it was permanent or a "let's see what happens" deal, who knows. I believe it was on taht same drive that he got hurt.

Just precautionary to keep him out. He got rolled a bit but fine. Just normal dings and bumps

Getting landed on the wrong way by a 240lb dude

Also, I’m believing it’s the clavicle even more after Kirby just gave this vague update….usually it’s more severe when he words it like this:

quote:

"He's dinged up," Smart said. "It's an upper-body injury and we hope to get him back. But you never know. He's dinged up, but we hope to get him back as soon as possible."

Could be a bad stinger, but I don’t think Kirby would have said “you never know” unless he believed it was bad. Probably just need to evaluate how bad it is this week to see if he can get back faster

Kirby just updated on JDJ. Paraphrasing, but basically he is going under some advanced treatment and they hoping he could be back quicker than traditional approach to dealing with it…..

That is good news…although, the way the young pups played in his absence I feel good about that position whether Pop gets back quicker or not.
