I don't blame Chaz Chambliss. I blame our coaches for not recruiting and developing what they need at outside linebacker to the point that Chaz Chambliss has been on the field for most of the time in the last two SECCGs.

I get your point about rotating d lineman, but Jalen Carter and Jordan Davis weren't fat asses.

Surely regulation will be put in place eventually. It may take US Congress though.

Eventually….but that eventually is going to have to come because their pocketbooks are hurt and da base is dwindling.

Congress will have to do something, but I think the more likely scenario is that we move to a separate league with the 4 conferences and they all form a coalition and regulate themselves for football only. Of course, I’m sure that will get sued too and will take forever to happen.

It’s a fricking mess right now and the big rolling rock is gathering speed as it tumbles down the hill

Too bad Chaz isn’t black so we didn’t have to hear all the hot takes on him.

Yes, if Congress gets involved and starts making laws and rules, I guarantee we won't like it (and by then it will be too late).

BREAKING: In Ohio vs NCAA, Judge John Preston Bailey issues a temporary restraining order (for the next 14 days) that grants immediate eligibility to any college athletes currently seeking it via a multi-transfer waiver.

Next hearing is scheduled for Dec. 27, 2023.

This essentially means for the next 14 days, NCAA can't require any multi-time transfers to sit out while seeking a waiver for immediate eligibility.

Judge will likely decide whether to grant a preliminary injunction—which would likely extend thru length of a trial—on Dec 27.

There's only 1 QB on the field at a time, and Beck understands the value of waiting his turn. It's about to pay off bigtime for him.

MJJ needs to do what's best for him, but musical jerseys to be a big fish in a smaller pond isn't the value proposition everyone thinks. Just ask Bear Alexander.

They don't think ahead. These are 18-21 year olds that are being flashed money they've never seen before...

Government imposition is that LAST recourse in almost any situation.

However there is no central governing body in CFB. I think we're either looking at years limbo with intermittent tweaks when something goes badly (and conspicuously) wrong, or we're looking at building complaints drawing negative attention and impacting the bottom line and the networks pushing the conferences to implement changes.

Either way, I think this will take years to settle.

And they don't have savy and trustworthy people who can help them navigate.

If a guy like Arch Manning transfers, you can bet it'll be to a system that fits him and a program that will better him. Not sure we can say the same for many of these other guys.

Some sports media guy that GTP featured yesterday thinks Arch could still end up in Athens.
