That's a good argument. I thought about putting Chubb above Gurley. I don't think any college team has ever had a better trio of RBs than Gurley, Chubb and Michel.

Could have the same argument if Chubb never messed his knee up.

Worley was a much better athlete than Lars. Lars just stayed out of trouble. If Tim had his shite together, he would have won the Heisman.
Rod Hampton was a lot better than Lars as well.

Sony Michel only getting recognition due to 2017 proximity. And 2018 Super Bowl proximity. When in reality, he doesn't belong anywhere near the Top 10 of a UGA list.
Sure, I'd have Sony the warrior somewhere in my top 10 (right behind Chubb) if the category was "favorite dawgs" , but it's not. And chronic untimely fumbles have consequences in terms of Greatness.

What? He’s close to that only taking into account that he rushed for 1000 yards twice. Nevermind everything else.

What? He was fighting injuries much of his
time at UGA and when was healthy we had a dumbass for a HC who didn't know how to use him or didn't play em because he somehow didn't think he was really injured.
You don't rush for 2,000 yards in the NFL because of a "new age ground attack" hilarious.

If anyone on here doesn't have Garrison Hearst on their list, their opinion is moot and their credibility needs to be called out. Hearst finished third in the Heisman and was a top 5 overall draft pick.
Also I don't see a lot of Rodney Hamptons in here. Rodney Hampton was a really really productive running back.
In terms of natural god-given ability, there are three Georgia running backs in a class by themselves imo...
1) Herschel
2) Tim Worley
3) Gurley

Before Edwards got hurt, he was firmly number 2.

So Chubb blowing out his knee his sophomore season kept us from winning the natty his senior season?

Did Chubb look like the same running back after his knee injury to you? He didn't run anything like he did his sophomore season, he was on a mission that year.

First 1000 yard rusher UGA had since Hearst 10 years prior. I'd say he at least deserves a mention.

if it's college career only, then nick chubb is number 2

RE47 had an amazing combo of speed, vision, and agility. He limited himself a bit with some decision making, but that freak injury really sucked.

we were well on the way to beating the shite out of ut in knoxville in 95 before he got hurt. I wonder how our program trajectory woudl have panned out had he been fully healthy and we were actually decent in 95/96 and got better recruits for the end of the decade.

No doubt BUT both Hearst and Hampton had amazing instincts and vision.I thought both were better.

I agree with Bigdaddydawg for the most part. I would love to see what Chubb and Edwards would have done if they were injury free. They were just beasts when they were hitting on all cylinders. I found this highlight reel -

I loved Tate and Worley too. I really liked those later Dooley teams although we seemed to be stuck going to the Sun Bowl every year.
