You skipped the first line - I kept it to people who at least played on color TV

Lars Tate over Sony and Kowshon?Edwards was also better when healthy.Worley was better as well

Tate and Worley were fairly comparable, Tate May have been a little faster and stronger, Worley had a little more wiggle. Picking one or the other is probably just a matter of which one was your favorite when you were a kid.
Neither of them were better than Sony or Knowshon in my opinion, but Peter Buck played with both at UGA and when I asked him directly a couple of years ago said Worley was the better of the two but Rodney Hampton was definitely better than both and was a hell of a nice guy as well. Not that it matters in this argument.

What? Worley was a 100 netter champ in HS and faster than Tate...not really debatable.
Worley was a 1st team AA and top 10 NFL pick.Tate was neither.

Read my post again.Never said Worley was better than Knowshon or Sony.I said all were better than Tate.

I was agreeing with you on Sony and Knowshon.
Was simply saying what I thought the differences in Tate and Worley were. I don’t think either one was markedly better than the other while AT UGA from a teenage fans viewpoint.
Like I said though, Peter Buck was at UGA and played on the team with both and said Worley was better.
Tate just looked faster on the field than Worley to me. I’m sure you are correct if you say Worley was faster in timed speed. Maybe I chose the wrong word when I said argument and should have just said thread instead. I wasn’t disagreeing with you, just saying that Worley or Tate at UGA probably just comes down to which you liked watching better when they were there. I liked them both but probably liked Henderson better than either even though he was the FB.

I love Chubb, but I’m not entirely sure he’s better than Sony.
Swift is going to be close to the top after this season

I'm in accord with this top 4.
1. Herschel Walker
2. Todd Gurley
3. Nick Chubb
4. Sony Michel
If Chubb had never been injured he would have passed Gurley and challenged Walker for best all time.

How wild is it to think no mention of Terrell Davis and he is now in the Hall Of Fame. I understand why no mention...just pretty crazy to think about
One of my personal favs was Musa.

I agree, I’d probably put Sony over Chubb but it’s really close.

Are these lists based on best RB or is this just people's favorite backs? Because if it's best RB, then numbers 1 and 2 aren't debatable. It's Herschel then Chubb.
And anybody claiming Sony might be better than Chubb is making an emotional argument not a logical one. Probably based subconsciously on Sony being the outgoing extrovert of the pair who wore his emotions on his sleeve and Chubb being the quiet subdued man of few words. And also probably because Chubb did his best and most profound work at the beginning of his career while Michel's came at the end of his career.
Which shouldn't matter because a body of work is a body of work. And Chubb's is the second best in UGA history.

I'm giving Gurley the edge over Chubb because Chubb was always part of a badass tandem, whereas Gurley was basically a one-man show. Both had knee injuries frick things up. Gurley played in fewer games than Chubb.
I'll also put Moreno above Sony. He also had two fewer seasons under his belt.
Walker
Gurley
Chubb
Moreno
Michel

If you are going to rank them, then you have to rank what you are looking for?
If it is production, then the numbers don't lie. Durability and eligibility matter.
If it is the ability to score (more valuable in wins and losses), a back like Moreno jumps up the rankings.
If you want accolades, the heismans, all americans and all conference records matter.
Or are you listing the backs in order that scare the shite out of defensive coordinators (where all purpose, receiving/passing, and the ability to score anywhere on the field matter most).

I’d put Sony and Chubb over Gurley. They played 4 years, took us further and stayed out of trouble. I’ll never forget Sony in that rose bowl. Or Chubb toting the rock 30+ times at mizzou after gurley got suspended.
