If only recruiting was the only piece to the puzzle

Please,it's the main piece of the puzzle and do I really have to give a list of coaches that took over talented programs and had IMMEDIATE success in year 2?

People comparing our recruiting rankings to Auburn don't quite understand that AU is a top 10 recruiting school yearly as well. Now let's take a look at their defensive line. They have 5 stars and very high 4 stars all over their 2 deep on defensive line. It's probably been their best unit in recruiting the last 4 years. Compare that to our offensive line recruiting i would say that it was a matchup they should win and they did.....easily. It's the biggest mismatch between the 2 teams and it's also one of the most important. If our offensive line doesn't improve then we are going to struggle with teams like Auburn. It is what it is. I'm with others that say it's good to be competitive with other good teams and we are that but I also don't think it's a championship team. However, the offensive line recruiting last cycle and this cycle looks to be a step in the direction toward becoming that. 2019 would also be my guess on the team that could be insane.

Our OL recruiting will take us to levels that we have never seen in the trenches.

I worry about our DT recruiting. We have had a significant swing and miss on top guys since Thompson (compounded by the fact that the talent level in GA at that position has been thinner)

We can start getting there by getting up on Ky early and playing as many backups as we have on the team. Same for the Gnat game. Prepare for the SECCG. Win it and we will be in the Playoff. Lose and we won't. But we will be getting better for next season.

They had the same group of talent last year plus 2 guys
who made the NFL and we seem to have held our owm.Why was that?
Oh,a d our O-line was no great shakes in '15 and we seem to have won that game as well.

Yea,the O-line is probably the least experienced of out any position group but why is everybody seem to be forgetting the emence mount of talent we have on this team?We have 54 four and five star kids on the roster...the most we'vs ever had.

Yes, this team has a ton of talent. I get it and everybody else gets it.

Check my post history and you will find that I criticized Kirby as much, or more than anybody on here last year. However, we have shown a lot of progress this year. This team is head and shoulders better than last year, and we are bringing in more talent. Our coaching staff is not where they should be right now, but they are getting better, too.

Don't let one game skew your view of what this team has, and will accomplish. We had one bad game. It happens. It happens to Oklahoma, Ohio State, Alabama, Clemson....it happens to everybody. It was a bit pronounced last week, but it happens.

It doesn't change the fact that the team has shown improvement, and we are headed in the right direction.

Of course not.

We still have to win two more games.
