I'll take outside linebacker and defensive end.

Around this time last year I was putting a bunch of blind faith in Coach Rauscher to help fix our offensive line. Now I'm going back to the well and hoping the Coach Knight guy from Arkansas State can do the same for our pass rush. He was billed as a pass rush specialist when he was brought in. Arkansas State led their conference in sacks last season and had a defensive end who finished second and a defeinsive lineman who finished third.

One way or the other we needed some new blood and new ideas on our defensive coaching staff. It had gotten stale. I've grown tired of watching the same double A gap blitz where our inside linebacker runs straight up the defensive tackles butt. And then in terms of technique, Davin Bellamy has been griping for a few years now that our pass rushers don't have moves. One of the Dawg Nation goobers posted a stat about how Georgia was 63rd out of 68 Power 4 schools last season in pass rush win percentage rate or something like that.

It might not be reflected in the sack numbers against Tennessee State. Coach Donnan predicted that they'll just do a bunch of three step drops, because that's what all shitty and overmatched teams have done against Georgia in the last few years. But I still want to see our pass rushers win way more than they did last season. The big guys up front on passing downs also.

Well, with all the hooplah about our TE room it seems the WRs is still getting a bit overshadowed this fall camp. If there is one thing they seem to have a bunch of, its speed. Taylor, SW-H, Dandridge, Canion and some others all boasted impressive speed coming out of HS. I'd say with a veteran QB throwing to them, if they can't get behind a secondary from a overmatched school like we play this weekend and make some biiiiig downfield plays, we're going to struggle against SEC speed later on.

Offensive line.

Want to see Frazier go for 100 in the first half.

Well, I fully and absolutely EXPECT to see pretty much every position we have shine considering the opponent and our talent level. So positions like OL, RB, etc I would be more concerned if they didn't shine.
'
With that in mind I have to say WR. Probably the biggest question mark for any position group on the entire roster. Some talent there but very, very little production as an overall unit. If they have a good day and don't drop the ball I'll be happy.

Definitely WR has me the most intrigued but if our lines can't get consistent pushes against this line than I'm going to be a tad concerned entering conference play

I’d like to see some sacks, dominant run game, and Gunner show he has quicker release and can throw over the middle.

I’d have to say receivers as well. Not that we all of a sudden have someone who looks like they may be an all-American necessarily, but just show some explosiveness and consistently getting separation.

Would love to see Gunner going through progressions comfortably, making proper reads, and hitting his targets with conviction.

Any and all. After all, we are the youngest team in the country.

To echo what many have already said, I'm dying to see the backups we've bene hearing about. Yes of course I want to see Frazier and gabe harris and Bolden etc ball out but we already know they can. That's not really surprising. I want to see phililps/walker, redell/elyiss/prothro, and all the other dudes we've been hearing rave reviews about all camp.

I'd be perfectly fine sitting every starter at half time (which would be unprecedented and I know it won't happen) and giving the 2nd string all of the 3Q, and a mix of 3rd and 4th string all 4Q.

My Hot take is we are going to be far far more well rounded at WR/Flex TE than we were last year where most of the time the plan was just get the ball to branch.

If I had to guess prothro will also mostly be playing WR this year as well so that will help tremendously

Agreed. I wonder how much Colby Young was factored into the plan last year & they basically had to throw it out

I’m really hoping London Humphreys can have a solid year.

He has been here a while now this is his third year in the system and he is the SR of the group. That catch he made to win the game at Tennessee last year on 4th down was amazing.

I feel like he is going to get a lot looks this year to be the number 1 read instead of clear outs or backside reads like he was doing last year
