Oh awesome. Well, I really hope the powers at Georgia realize the old man's feelings < success

I'll outline all I know
Seems very apparent to me that most of the newer guys even defensive staff were/are gone out the door and Kirby is a guy who has had a lot of consistency through his tenure as DC
Now He and his wife both went to UGA so even the same job even if its same salary and then add the fact that most of Bama's staff is getting an overhaul, is a likely "He past gone" situation to me.
If the HCiW term is offered at UGA allowing him a higher salary and I think given Richt's personality would really work at UGA I feel. It won't happen at Bama and KS has already been doing a pretty good amount of the behind the scenes stuff and Saban has deferred to KS seemingly on a lot of decisions to the point that he seems like its the situation he's in at Bama but Saban will never have one I don't think, he's not a fan of it.
Now the Orgeron situation is interesting to me because all signs point to him being hired at Bama. Think about his job opp he turned down (DC and arse HC at USCw with Sark) so it seems like very close to a done deal but the terms haven't been agreed too, sounds like everything on Bama's side is being quiet waiting for Kirby to make a decision and possibly use that to bring Coach O as DC at Bama (no idea if that is what is happening but its worth considering). And then there's also rumors after Steele turning down the DC job in 'Ville that he would be brought back on staff and was just waiting and he's been Saban's DC before as well so there's also a possibility there.
UGA will likely reach out and court KS starting tomorrow and the ball will be in his court. The reason I say that on Cochran is if he were offered a HC job and took it SC would be gone with him and you want 1 BIG HUGE reason for Bama's ridiculous development of talent it is him 110% so Im assuming if he's given the HCiW title SC would very soon follow because Kirby knows how important a piece he is and how good he is and like I said before they are best of friends and each others closest acquaintance on staff.
I haven't heard anything on Kirby per say from the Bama side, just new hirings might not sit well and not people Saban hires but overall massive changes, just seems like I said Bama side is waiting to hear his decision, ball is in his court.
I begrudgingly say this but this is the closest I've ever been to thinking he was leaving, even as close as he came to Southern Miss it never felt this real also never felt like Bama was moving around pieces in anticipation of it like they seem to be doing now
Should be an interesting next couple days

By the way that Saban is hiring new coaches, you'd think that he just came in as HC and is cleaning house. This is fascinating. It's either going to make for a dream team of coaches at Bama or it's all going to unravel in the most catastrophic way imaginable.
All said, if we end up with Smart and Cochran when the smoke clears, then I'll take back everything I said about wanting Saban to go to Texas.

How would everyone feel about Mike Elko if we are turned down by Kirby Smart?

They're tracking FlightAware for Kirby's departure from his family vacation in Orlando. shite gets real.
I'm assuming that the coaches convention is in Indy? LINK

Supposedly, in 2010 Smart wanted to bring Cochran and others with him and Richt said no.
Who knows if there's any validity to that, could just be rumors. Knowing Richt, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he didn't want to fire good buddy Joe T. Perseonally, I'd absolutely love it and if we were truly committed to winning we'd do it without thinking twice.

Wait, does that mean we are getting Smart and Coach O will take over the defense.
