lemme guess, you're one of *those* who only talks about his 2 drops while ignoring that he's also the 2nd best WR we've ever had in school history?

I asked for other peoples' list lol. Make one. That's the point of the thread.

Justin Houston was pretty beast...also Nick Chubb (when healthy) is better than Moreno.

I was typing up a response to say that Edwards had a better career than MoMass but for a single year MoMass 08>Edwards 02.

Then I looked up the stats and I was wrong. Edwards caught 59 passes for 1004 yards and 11 TDs in 02. Massaquoi caught 58 for 920 and 8 TDs in 08.

Edwards belongs on the list for his career, but he also had one of our better receiving years ever in 02.

Edwards is still in the top 3 or 4 of most of the SEC receiving records.

To not include him on this list is simply wrong.

Good list. I'd make a few changes.

QB - Stafford.

RB - Chubb for Moreno.

OLB - Justin Houston for Bailey

MLB - Odell Thurman for Davis.

FS - Thomas Davis for Rambo.

SS - Sean Jones for Blue

K - Blair Walsh over Bailey

P - Drew Butler over Mimbs.

PR - Damian Gary (separate from KR)

I will agree with you, but just for the sake of hypotheticals here we saw 2 full seasons of moreno (at a very high level) while we've essentially only seen a little over one season (half of this year, little over half of last year) of chubb.

But I agree with you overall, I think chubb is better.

Nope...in fact, I am one who doesn't hold the UF drop against him...it wasn't going to be a TD even if he caught it. Ive always hated that stance.

I was a little miffed about the USCe drop but, shite happens.

I like Edwards, and he wasn't the second BEST receiver weve ever had. He may have been the most productive but that was largely due to the fact that Fred was inconsistent, so #8 was the only guy Greene was pretty sure would catch the ball.

I think the fact that MoMass and Reggie went on to have at least modestly successful NFL careers would say I am right.

Unless we are only going by college production, in which case, Geno doesn't belong on the list.

If we're counting this as a college list I don't see how you can put Stafford above Murray.

Chubb would be ahead of Moreno if he was healthy this season.

Although I don't ignore his stats I guess I'm technically one of *those* too.

Bill Buckner played 20 seasons in the Bigs and had close to 3,000 hits, what does anyone ever remember about him?

Didn't fully blossom until NFL. This is purely a college performance list for me the WR are difficult to pick as are the TEs and DB.

Paul Oliver I picked soley due to the fact he was the only person ever to shut Megatron down like that.

In 2001 we had gary, michael johnson, and gibson. In 2002 we had those same guys plus Reggie and bmac.

Saying "oh, well...he only put up good numbers because he was the most consistent" is so disingenuous. There's a reason he was the most consistent, and got the most targets, and was the most productive...because he was better and he deserved it. It'd be like saying "Well AJ Green only did so well becauuse he was the best WR on the team". Well duh.

Not really. Tebow and Manziel were once in a generation type talents for their schools and neither one has amounted to anythign in the pros. I don't care about what they do in the NFL, I care about here. Terrence not playing in the NFL doesnt' affect his time here in any way whatsoever.

I assumed that was the premise of the thread. And I can get behind your next point because you're right, we did have better DTs than geno while they were HERE. Good call.

I don't think people (not necessarily us, but non-UGA people) truly realize how phenomenal his 07 season was. True Freshman stepping in at LT in the SEC and he frickin killed it. He went up against some big time DEs that year if memory serves and he held his own the whole season. Just a shame he couldnt' stay healthy.
