Who thinks that realignment makes Texas and Oklahoma stronger at the expense of traditional SEC powers?

Read where the SEC had actually solicited other schools like Michigan, tOSU, and a handful of other big10 schools.

Reading Twitter this morning and the guy that started that rumor offered nothing else. Well anyone can start a rumor. I thought it was all a bunch of crap when I read it.

So who will our annual SEC-west opponent be changed to? Texas? Oklahoma? So, in 2025 we add TX/OK and Alabama on a permanent basis, and lose Missouri. Not a good deal.

I agree with Whiznot. We add Tex and OK at the expense of SEC powers. We are already the strongest conference so personally I don't see the need to 2 more big football schools. Still I think it's going to 4 super conferences and it wouldn't surprise me if goes to 2 - ESPN-East and ESPN-West.

Four 16-team superconferences makes the most sense with a playoff system. It's stupid, but that's where it definitely seems to be headed.

The real winners in this are tOSU, Clemson, ND, and some random Pac12 team. It was already a pain to make it through the SEC, and now you add Texas and OU?

If they don't expand the CFP, how the hell are you going to not exacerbate the issue with unbalanced schedules? If UGA has OU, Bama, Auburn, Florida on their schedule and lose two, we really going to throw out the red carpet for Clemson to walk into the CFP?

A lot of people love Walmart, especially the owners and top shareholders. But why do so many other people hate it?

Answers:
-it's too big
-sure, there's lots of merchandise, but its watered down
-and of poor quality
-it puts the Mom n Pops, etc out of businesses
-killing the unique shopping districts of town
-consoildating everything into one giant ugly box store
-with a parking lot full of dirty diapers and cig butts
-a soulless ugly Goliath
-with no character whatsoever
-too many people in one place
-with no regional character
-the walmart in California is the exact same as the walmart in New Jersey or anywhere
-etc etc

Conclusions:
-the SEC is now the WalMart of college sports
-there are young people alive right now that never lived without walmart
-they don't know anything different
-and so I guess future SECmart fans won't know the difference eventually
-they'll think the blue plastic SEC bags stuck in all the bushes and tree limbs and the gobs of discarded chewing gum on the concrete outside stadium entrances are normal
-this fricking blows

FIFY

Adding UT and OU guarantees à premier matchup almost every week and assures thé SEC will dominate CFB TV ratings and kids are gonna want thaï exposure with NIL.You might have point if we weren't going To à 12 team playoff

Gonna be à much tougher sell on the recruiting trail for all 3 of those schools

The ncaa blows.

This is step 1 to replacing the ncaa with the sec. I would welcome that new overlord to college football

Texas has a massive ego that will not change if they join the SEC

Oklahoma has a chip on their shoulder (mostly due to Utx)

The whole thing is just a big money grab and will not end well for conference harmony.
