No Alabama and Auburn come east Mizzou and those 2 in the west

In another 10 years, Nebraska and Kansas will join. Then Colorado, Nevada, and Arizona. We will get all the way to California eventually.

So I saw it said the are going to decline their media contract Which ends in 2025 so they wouldn’t join till 2025?

It's a no from me. It would make the SEC way too big and mess with college footballs dynamics way too much. Selfishly, I like the deal we have going in the SEC East. As bigdawg pointed out, Auburn and Bama would likely move to the east. Or we would be broken up into 3 or 4 divisions.

No. Texas fans are as annoying as Florida and Alabama fans. Let them stay where they are. The SEC has no need for them or Oklahoma. Frankly, not sure why the SEC needs to get any bigger unless the thought is to increase the # of conf games and get rid of the big out of conference games all together. But those games are interesting and I don't want to get rid of them.

They need us more than we need them. That said, this would be an outstanding opportunity to fix the East-West nonsense that we currently endure.

UGA, Florida, and Kentucky have been opposed to multiple instate schools (i.e. their respective states) in the conference.
That may not be enough to block any changes. But there are built in obstacles/alliances to Texas.

Let's at least make it an even trade and boot out Missouri and Vandy.

Unlikely that any of them oppose this move especially with the massive revenue boost

They have opposed other plans for more revenue in the past (adding FSU).
I dont know how they will vote.
But i do know that there is a precedence against texas based upon protecting state borders for conference members.

It makes more sense than when they added mizzou and TAMU. It probably should have been Texas and OU in the first place.

aTm is losing their minds at the prospects of Texas coming over.
I'm sure that MiZzzou is heading to their safe space as we speak, too.

Because that program brings in dozens of dollars to the conference.

Vandy isn't going anywhere because their academic endowment makes sports money look like my wallet lol

And nobody but Vanderbilt gets to ever see a penny of that, it's not like it goes in the SEC Pot for everyone to share.

They should be booted out for the kicking shenanigans from last season.
