in the 4th quarter was a thing of beauty. Running to the right, throwing against his body. Daaaaaang, that was very impressive.
I just saw he's up to #4 in the Heisman rankings. Could it be....???

He's the best QB in the SEC RN
You could make a case for Reed.

Agreed...he don't have Reed's numbers, but considering he only has 3 ints, and one of those bounced off of Thomas' hands, he rarely makes mistakes and seems to get better under pressure. I'd keep him over any QB in the country.

I think he’s got an uphill climb to win it but I’d love to see him in NY. If he balls out including an SECCG his chances bump up significantly.

Watch the Aaron Murray bit about Gunner’s numbers

Bobo has truly been putting on a damn clinic all fricking year. Que muh cash jones comments. Stockton is very good and talented but Bobo and the offensive staff are putting him in very very advantageous positions and ones easy to succeed in. The resurgence of our running game is the entire foundation of this. I’m not sure what time frame this totally encompasses but Gunner is 40 for his last 50 on play action with 9 TD and no Ints.
The play you’re talking about was also completely schemed up earlier in the year and game, although obviously Gunner and the team had to execute it. When you kill teams with power right inside the ten all year with Gunner and Lawson blocking you can’t afford to be worried about him leaking out on one

And for the love of hell I still don’t understand some of the cash jones 3rd down packages. I don’t know what I’m talking about, bobo is the master and I wouldn’t know what to do, I just get confused sometimes. Really seems like when we need those extra few yards a power back would be better than jones. But once again, our offense is putting up massive numbers, so I’ll defer to the professionals

It was a phenomenal playcall, I kinda wish we'd held onto that one for use in a more important game. I mean this one was important but the game was alrady in hand.
We pulled 2 TEs going right and gunner tucked the ball, all 11 defenders were thinking QB run. Just elite playcalling and execution.

He sold that play so well. Actually tucked the ball away for a second and the entire defense bit hard on it.

They set that play up earlier in the game. They ran the exact same formation. Both TEs crossed the formation to block, only Gunner gave it to the RB.

They set up so many plays earlier - earlier in the same game or previous games

Me either. I don't and never will.

He'll have an uphill climb to even go to NY. It COULD happen, but they will always lean towards raw numbers...then you have Hardy of Missouri who could have 1500+ yards rushing and as many as 17 or 18 TD as a RB. They won't ever give it to a RB again, imo, but they may give him a nod by inviting him.
Then you have Julian Sayin (OSU) and Mendoza (Indiana). That fourth slot will be key. Stockton is a great combination of passing/rushing.
And you can't count out Arch Manning!

Honestly, I think Cash Jones was used earlier so he could be used as a decoy a bit more now. That said, I personally like what Cash Jones brings to the table, and think he is fine. He is used more on third down plays when we need 5 or more yards and a pass is possible....although Bowens is definitely showing himself capable of catching the ball lately.
On short yardage plays (3 or fewer) we do seem to put in a McCary or Bowens. Bowens has really come into his own this years. He really has broken out and done extremely well.

Who said that?
I think that is where many of the "media experts" placed him in the preseason.
