Not a big deal.

Hes 25+, somewhere between a 3rd - 7th round draft pick according to some.

His maturity, decision making and smarts are supposedly his attributes that elevate him above his physical limitations...

Sorry but its a big fricking deal for his future IMO...

Agree completely.

Which is why I don't think this points to Stetson having a habitual drinking issue- this points more to Stetson being a rookie drinker. This was a rookie mistake. People who are experienced with going out and getting hammered have procedures in place to keep themselves out of this kind of situation. This is a rookie mistake, shite that happens to freshmen.

Shitty timing and a bad look, but I agree it doesn't necessarily point to a drinking problem. I rarely drink...usually no more than a couple of drinks at a time, but I've had too much to drink downtown and stumbled to the Holiday Inn. Too drunk to remember my room number and tried my key in several of the wrong rooms before finding my own. I was older than 25 at the time.

Sorry, I get the leash concept, but I simply do not buy that a 25-year-old UGA quarterback is a “rookie drinker”

A rookie drinker with 6 years in Athens is a bad look for all of us who went there. Its like one of the main things you learn there.

Some super drunk guy stumbled into our hotel room on spring break in college and passed out on the couch. We did his makeup and took pictures with him. Was that you by chance?

Finley,

Since litigator is absent, do you think Stetson has a case against the bar for over-serving him and not helping him get a cab? Luckily nobody was hurt, but he's probably lost millions in earning power now due to harm to his reputation.

Unfortunately, it appears all this has gone to his head.

Baker Mayfield didn't hurt his draft status by getting drunk and trying unsuccessfully to run from a fat cop. Baker did hurt his head when the cop crashed it into a brick retaining wall.

All the articles say the cops were called because a man was banging on doors, but that the police report doesnt say that Stet was that man.

Maybe it was him and he learned the hardway what happens aftr the fifth tequila shot when youve been drinking beer all day or maybe he was just walking home drunk from somewhere on his night off minding his own business as a free and legal citizen of the United States of America.

Im sure AJC has an investigative survelleince team in route to give people something to wag their fingers at though

He's still getting drafted somewhere between rounds 5-7.

Wish there was a chest cam video of him saying,

"was just walking home drunk from somewhere on my night off minding my own business as a free and legal citizen of the United States of America."

Definitely a notable distinction. WSB said on tonight's coverage that Stet was the one beating on the doors, but they were the only ones, to my knowledge.

Yeah, we should brainstorm

-Was Stet doing what 25 year olds do on their day off , and getting drunk & chasing pussy when some people who recognize him as a national celebrity bought him shots after shots, and he’s a South Georgia gentleman, and obliged that gesture to his own detriment. And wound up stumbling the streets of east Texas

-or possibly he’s always been a Dick and needs help and boo and gippity GEE!! like the internet thinks

FWIW a co-worker of mine is close friends with his aunt and she says all the time how proud she is of him considering the backstory with his dad but he’s got to grow up a little. Maybe this kind of stuff is what she’s referring to.

The fact of the matter is that it was more of a municipal formality. He was in a strange town, lost, trying to find his lodging accommodations. He knocked, allegedly, on some doors, and it was understandably early in the morning, so some people called the local constable to help the lost man.

Nobody was hurt, no property damaged, no scuffles or police chases or fights; no allegations of sexual harassment or anything of that nature....

This is just a simple mix-up after a reckless bartender over-served him.

My client has no priors, in this state or any other jurisdiction.

Your Honor, I can't imagine what your court docket looks like, I assume it is a nightmare in a big city like this.

It is with that, that I submit a motion to dismiss all charges so we can all move on.
