Fromm is great, I love him, but is he even worthy of wearing that number?

Fromm won an sec title and a rose bowl as a true freshman. So I feel pretty comfortable saying yes.

If you think Murray is better than Fromm you know nothing.

Fromm as a freshman was light years ahead of Murray as a redshirt freshman. He may well be ahead of Murray as a sophomore. we shall see.
In 2012, as a redshirt junior, Murray almost carried the Dawgs to the SEC title and probably the NC. His senior year was a bit of a disappointment, but I think that was mainly due to the team suffering from Early Onset Richt Fatigue.
Fromm needs to QB us to the NC to move past Murray.

From has better physical tools. I’d say they are even from a football IQ and field awareness standpoint

Umm Murray had a losing record to Scar, lost embarrassing games, and never won anything meaningful. Fromm accomplished more in one year than Murray in 4...

I don’t think it’s a fair comparison. I’m a big Fromm guy but he’s playing under a better coach. Because of this he’ll end up taking us much further that Murray...and already has IMO..... but we’ll never know how good Murray could’ve been under this coach.

Both are fantastic college QBs.

Some of you are unbelievable. Fromm plays with are far better team and coach. Aaron Murray is the all-time leading passer in SEC history in yards and TDs. Murray would take games over. Fromm hasn’t even come close to showing that ability.

The only physical tools Fromm is better at is that he is bigger. That is it, and the difference isn’t that much. I would also argue that our defense and running game carried us to an SEC title and national title game appearance.

Murray struggled against ranked opponents. He has more INTs against ranked opponents than games played.

He has 5 wins versus ranked opponents in 4 seasons (19 tries).

It is still early on Fromm's career. But it doesn't appear that he will struggle against ranked opponents like Murray. We will have to find out.

Murray was a great player and great competitor. But some of the criticisms are fair.

I was going to include team in my post too but it’s not like Murray didn’t have talent surrounding him. That being said the defense and olines were hot and cold during Murray’s tenure. You could also say Bobo was a better OC than Cheney.

That’s why I don’t think you can compare the two....too many variables.

Fromm is never shook. Murray was like a deer in the headlights against ranked opponents frequently.

Agreed,so many games where would've got blown out if it werent for Murray...put the game on his shoulders multiple times.
'SC in '11 '13,LSU '13,'AU in '10 and '13.Take a look at the LSU SECC in '11.Bobo had a very good game plan and we ended up with multiple dropped passes including TD's.Game shoudve been 17-7 @ half (17-0 but we were stupid enough to kick to Honey Badger)

Point is, Fromm is surrounded by much better talent and faces much weaker SECe opponents.

If you think fromm is better than Murray by a wide enough margin to trash him then you must’ve become a Georgia fan in the last 2-3 years.

Fromm has benefitted HUGE from having better coaching and a better supporting cast. That’s why I said if Murray had played on this team.

Murray wasn't well served by Richt. Aaron was a great roll out passer able to throw accurately on the run. Richt put Aaron in a straitjacket. Pocket passing never clicked until Murray was a junior. Murray was only 6 feet tall and Richt utilized short drop backs. Vision and open passing lanes were a problem leading to interceptions and fumbles.

No UGA QB has ever been tougher or more committed than Murray. Still, Fromm is better.
