Naw we showed in the first half we can play with anyone, just cant make the mistakes Stetson made in the 2nd half

If you think we’re SEC champion material with 13 at QB, we can just agree to disagree.

If rather loose to UF trying to develop a championship QB than win and have zero chance of conference championship, which is the very best we do playing Stetson.

Screw that and Kirby's 5th year isn't a "developmental"
year. There's enough talent on the roster to win the SEC and yes, beat Bama.

There's no doubt in my mind we can beat Bama if we played again with the right approach and a better officiating crew.We cannot get into any type of track meet with em though. We lose in that scenario every time no matter who our QB is.

We aren’t good enough to not worry. Not abandoning ship, just being realistic. We are a work in progress on offense. Those teams are capable of giving us a tough game if the team has any hint of your attitude.

Didn't you see the missed opportunities? A better QB keeps them off the field and keeps us in the game.

Aren't we tired of having to game plan around the QB? Haven't we had enough of knowing that if the QB has to win the game is an automatic L?

How many balls were batted at the line of scrimmage by the defense last night? I quit counting after 5.

All of this talk of beating Alabama in the SECCG is just that, just talk. The offense I saw last night was the best offense I have definitely seen all year. Their offense and LSU's, at the end of last season, are both by far the best I have seen in some time. Georgia or no one else is going to shut down that offense.

Short QBs make for conversation but also make for limited offense. The kid is playing the best he is capable of playing, I am sure. That is probably good enough to beat everyone on the schedule except Alabama.

Saban turns 69 this month. How much longer is that guy going to coach? Except for the old man at Kansas State, Snyder, very people have coached past 70. I have more of less accepted the fact Georgia won't ever beat Saban, of course not a lot of other teams have either.

Absolutely and we continually tried to put the game in his hand s which was a critical error IMO

Why in the world did we pass the ball 3 straight times on the Bama
35? We were already running the ball effectively and Bennett
already had passes knocked down several times yet we choose to pass over the middle of the field.

He didn't have to win the game for us and it was lost on the 1st
three drives of the 2nd half.

No,he's not a NC QB but I haven't seen anyone else in our roster which gives us a better option for now.

Maybe but we don't have a championship QB on our roster at this time. COULD Daniel be one? maybe, maybe not. Our best bet will be with Vandegriff....and I actually have hopes that Beck develops and does well.

Is Bennett ideal? No. But he has done an adequate job to this point. Should we give some reps to Mathis and Daniels going forward? Absolutely.

I agree with your assessment and there are other ways to run the ball other than playing under center and packing it up the middle.
Bennett has the speed to put outside pressure on the defense by rolling out with an option to run, short pass to a RB or TE or if the defense comes up to stop the run, throw over them.
Bennett will never be an effective drop-back passer against a big tall defense; he needs to get outside the wall that is the DL.

Absolutely this. That said, for an OC(Monken) to be effective he needs to be able to open the playbook and use as many plays as possible. Some just to set up others. But yes, we had a QB in his first road start against the best team in the last decade. If he wasn't nervous I would be shocked.

I went into many games confident, but feeling like I might throw up at any second.

Our ceiling is the SEC East. We have ZERO shot at winning the SEC or the National title with our current QB. He’s a gritty, likable guy but he’s not a QB that is going to win you the big games, as yesterday showed. To have this QB room in year 5 is 100% on Kirby’s shoulders.

I'm not prepared to throw in the towel yet. A LOT can happen going forward. The year still has a long way to go.

Who knows? maybe they decide to give Daniels a shot and he locks in and meshes. 2017 taught me to not give up because of a big loss.

Yup.

It seems like a control issue with him. He wants safe QBs and agressive defences, and getting out of that mindset will take time. This will come to a head soon enough with Monken on the staff. That guy is not Coley.

No Kirby messed up by not playing Fields in the 2nd half of that LSU game. I bet that doesn’t happen again. Our QB room will look real good in 2 years
