looks like the low pressure system out of the gulf is pushing further North than originally thought. Looks like it will start snowing around 7am in North Metro area and then turn to freezing rain early afternoon. Guessing 2 inches of snow and then another inch of freezing rain which will be about .1 inches of ice on top of the snow

Seems almost a certain that we’re all getting snow although the more metro areas might have to worry about a change over to freezing rain for a bit.

Why we haven't placed a collective focus on getting as many power lines underground that we can in an effort to mitigate the snow/ice that we do get is a mystery.

I know it's intermittent and we'll go 5+ years between accumulations in metro Atlanta, but we get severe thunderstorms that have power knocked out due to falling limbs/trees all the time.

Big thing is keeping line paths clear. Pine trees suck.

Underground is great…until it isn’t.

Putting your dog in your avatar and being creepy aren't mutually exclusive.

Turf management leaves a lot to be desired.

I have a white dog too so I feel your pain on the tear stains.

Keeping the snoot white is a challenge. He's not a super-messy eater and he gets stuff from Open Farm, so it's not like there's all kinds of dyes and fake shite in his food. We're seriously considering making our own, before too long.

My wife told me that we needed to have the generator ready to preserve our food if there’s an ice storm and the power goes out. I reminded her that the outside temps were going to be at or below freezing.

Bless her heart.

Middle Georgia remains on the cusp. Can’t remember the last time we got a decent accumulation.

So we’ll get all the nastiness without any of the benefit. Hooray

According to the livestream that 46 just did, Metro Atlanta hasn't seen any real snow accumulation since Dec. 2018. That means there are school kids who haven't had a real snow day in their entire lives.

Is this message James Spann approved?

It is. Although he is in Birmingham, 90 miles south of us.

You have nice nails Vox. Do you do those yourself or go to one of those Asian places in the strip mall?

Those maps are even worse as far as potential for snow in our area, must have slowed down a bit.

Oh well

"Worse" as is more than expected, or "worse" as in less than expected?

Apparently she doesn't sport her new engagement ring when she's on TV these days.

Sorry worse as in less snow and more rain than expected, at least in my neck of the woods. That’s probably a bit selfish because I want my kids to experience a true snow day
