I'm not sure if it's an unpopular opinion, but I really wish we did something like The Eyes of Texas or The Aggie War Hymn (start around 1:00) where the players come over and stay in front of the band and/or student section and the whole crowd stays as well. It could just be something like the battle hymn.

That our previous regime had a reputation for being softer on the players than other teams in the Conference and we tended to attract more of our fair share of guys that don't want to work as hard as they would elsewhere.

(Actually that's my dad's but with the growing number of defections I'm starting to wonder...)

I'm very concerned that Jacob Eason may have benefitted big time from weak HS competition. Big fish, small pond. Similar to Marlon Brown coming out of high school.

Should? No. We were lucky to even be in the seccg and we choked on both sides of the ball when we got there

I hate the air of academic superiority that some people get caught up in. We are a southern public school, not harvard. Albeit we are the harvard of clarke county.

Are you ever happy with anything?

If we were lucky to get there, than every team with a loss ever in the SEC was lucky to get the the SECCG.

Uga 2012 was a rare sec team that benefitted from a strong sec team being removed from their schedule. I know this is unpopular to acknowledge.

I hate how our fan base has become this douchey sect that thinks about UGA as the city upon a hill. While Richt was here so many clung to this pathetic moral highhorse to feel better about our mediocre program. They acted like they were proud that UGA hamstrung itself with these archaic rules.

Same goes with our academics. I won't say that AU, UT, UA, LSU, OM, etc aren't ridiculously easy to get into and that in state UGA isn't easy but our school is hard Harvard. Having the opportunity of attended 2 different decent universities I have seen the short comings of UGA academically. I know many have seen the same but we act like we are Harvard.

I think this is by and large gone. Now that Richt and co are gone I think fans will be less obnoxious about being morally superior or academically superior. If Smart sucks then I can see the same folks go right back to that obnoxious shite.

A second unpopular opinion are all the UGA fans up Richt's arse and rooting for Miami. Good luck to the guy but if I see one more UGA fan praising Miami or UGA/Miami meme picture thing or whatever I will fricking puke.

Worst part of the pre-game routine by far.

Name me one team that didn't need luck to win the big one?

Not many, if any, teams have benefitted from the sec expansion like uga did.

Stick to the task at hand and stop avoiding it like Bill Clinton.

Name me one team that has won the championship that hasn't benefited from luck.

I'm very impressed you've been able to completely eliminate the 08 Bama game from your memory. Wish I could do the same.

You could make the argument that we might not have won the east in 2012 without expansion, but then someone could immediately counter that we would have won the east in '13 and '14 had the SEC not expanded.

I hate how they refer to it as "One of the greatest college football traditions in the land!"

On a similar note, I don't see why we even bother singing the alma mater, especially at the beginning of the game. Nobody actually sings it (most don't even seem to know the words despite the fact that they're on the fricking screen) and it relly does a disservice to what is supposed to be one of the more key moments of any given game: paying homage back to the University.

I think it has already been discussed a little but I think for most games our crowd really lacks the noise and energy we should have. So many times before a big 3rd down play when the defense needs us to make some noise you look around and all you see is a bunch of stone-faced old guys that look like they're at a funeral.
