Along these lines: Our recruiting is overrated. Top 10 recruiting doesn't cut it when our SEC rivals are top 5. Especially when you consider our uncommon attrition of some of our best athletes and general lack of a full roster during the Richt years. And we have lost some of the best in-state athletes to rival football programs. Hopefully this changes under Kirby Smart. If it doesn't, then we likely won't be any better off than we were with Richt at the helm.

As far as stadium atmosphere we are the Michigan of the south, we need less old alums in the stadium.

Not sure that this will qualify as unpopular, but I think we should reduce the number of seats offered to season ticket holders and offer every student a ticket that wants one. That or move all the season ticket holders on the North side 100 level into the west endzone and make it one giant student section behind the opposing bench

Our fan base is indicative of the majority of the teams I've seen in my short 20 years on this earth.

^fricking this

The greek section being in the 300 level is total bullshite. The students are the most raucous fans. If every student was in the lower bowl our stadium gets louder imo.

I'm not sure if you are joking or not, but I really do feel that way.

That said, I have to admit the change has gone well so far, and I am excited. I don't think we will lose as many recruits as I thought we would, and hopefully we might pick up 2-3 recruits we thought we had no chance at. So far.....so good.

I'm not joking.

I talked a lot of shite about Mark Richt, but he was really the best coach UGA has ever had.

The modern day students already waste their tickets, so why?

This. Silver helmet was badass and I think people would be stunned how much better those would've looked with black or silver pants.

That wide red stripe is what killed it Imo.

The stadium facade has sucked colossal dick since they built the 600 level on the North side.

On the one hand, the guy that made the Dooley statue is currently working on statues of Herschel, Trippi, and Sinkwich to put around the stadium so that's cool. However, you're still right: there is no acknolwedgement of the program's history and no ackonwledgement of the fricking state. I loved visiting LSU because their concessions were at least local food and the videos they played were set to Callin Baton Rouge and showcased videos of the state pregame. Meanwhile, the very university of the state of Georgia and its crown jewel can barely be bothered to acknowledge anywhere outside of downtown Athens. frick, even the Braves acknowledge Macon and Savannah and Montgomery Alabama and places in Tennessee. There is no fricking effort to acknowledge that UGA represents the state of Georgia, let alone a part of the southern United States

If you offered every student at UGA a ticket to every single game, that place would fill out 9 out of 10 times because then it becomes the thing to do on Saturdays. When you give only half a season one year and no tickets the next, it kills interest.

I just don't think the kids care like they did even 8 years ago, but maybe you figured out the main reason.

Are you really saying that Richt was the passionate, lit a fire under your arse, type of guy?? Because he wasn't.

who are you going to bitch out when we don't

Damn who got sand in your vag?? I'm not going to bitch to anyone. I'm sharing my opinion that I think we will be good, unlike some of the nega-dawgs who think we will be luck to win 7 games.

I'll say that Mark Richt could have been a much better coach at UGA if the administration had been more supportive.

Richt was better than most give credit for, '12 should've been a NC year. Came up a few YARDS short.

Sanford isn't nearly as loud as it should be for how many people attend.

I wish we had a different, more unique logo than the power G. Too many teams use it.

And now for something completely different -

It pisses me off no end on the lack of support and demand for excellence the admins extend to the b ball program. They are allowed to continually wallow in the mire.

Damnation, we should be better than that. And for those that are warming up the "not at UGA" mantra, frick you too. It can be done, but you have to be a helluva lot more dedicated and ambitious then the admins are.
