It almost bit us in the arse last year vs Auburn.

However the refs were hammering us with holding calls and weird grounding calls and stupid shite that kept us in extremely long yardage situations everytime we got a drive going in the second half. The refs got flag happy as hell once we got a lead.

Agree, there were definitely some drive killing penalties that affected us scoring on some of those drives. Hope yall did well in the storm.

Maybe he should keep his foot on the gas instead of running out the clock. Like Dan Quinn and the Falcons do

Had to file insurance claims on both of the houses. Minor roof damage, fences fell down, patio screen , windows took in moisture and we had leaks come in on both roofs so we had some internal water damage as well. Mostly just minor structural stuff but can be expected from a right side of the eye hit from a strong cat 2. Thankfully we don't have houses that are in flood risk areas so all damage was minor.

People aren’t gonna wanna hear this but while you suck and are disliked around here, you do make a point.

If auburn had been on their game in that second half they could have made a come back, and I don’t know if we could have stopped it.

Urban, Saban, Swinney, jimbo, and the other top tier CFB coaches would have run that score up to 45 without question. This gives us game time looks at certain plays, personnel for packages, and in the event auburn gets their shite together, gives us a better argument to jump another team for a playoff berth.

If anyone thinks gus would have slowed down against us you’re crazy

Taking the foot off the pedal against Jacksonville State is different, taking it off when we’re thrashing a huge rival is a consistent issue that we had under Richt too.

Momentum shifts, comebacks happen, and auburn wasn’t one to try it with, it just wasn’t their night at all.

We're just getting the other end of overreaction this week.

There were concerns that game - and not easily fixable ones like those from week 1.

I have literally never done this.

You dolts haven’t figured out style points yet. Not to mention the team isn’t conditioned to focus and keep the hammer down all game which will be needed against fla, tenn, and Alabama.

What do we need style points for? But we just beat Auburn by 3 touchdowns so we got them anyways. Hammer was down basically all game. I feel like you watched a different team than I did.

He doesn't make a point this time. I think if we needed to Kirby would've kept throwing, but we didn't need too. Defense was playing amazing, run game was amazing, we were killing the clock, and less chance of a turnover. Their defense was physically defeated at the end of that game. Its bad when the back of your defenders Jerseys are dirty then the front

People probably dont want to hear this...

But part of the reason why we scored 3 points in the second half is because the defense didnt get off the field like in the first half.

Auburn first half drives:
First: 1:34
Second: 1:35
Third:2:26
Fourth: 1:15
Fifth: 4:48
Sixth: 0:18 (halftime)

Second half
First : 4:51
Second : 5:51
Third : 3:18

We had 2 possessions in the second half and came away with 3 points (with another shot for a long field goal thanks to a holding call from Condon).

We finished the game with our third possession running out 4:48 on the clock with a team of backups and our 2 starting tight ends.

If we are bitching about an offense that generated 2 scoring opportunities in 2 tries, maybe we need to bitch about a defense that didnt generate 3 and outs on the last 4 Auburn possessions.

We dominated Auburn on both sides of the ball.

Not quite the same scenario as last year.We weren't scoring points BUT we were getting 1st downs and eating up clock as was Auburn.

I believe we had 6 or 7 three and outs vs Auburn in the 2nd half last year maybe more and THAT'S a recipe for disaster.

I don't know if this have anything to do with Oline chemistry but Warren McClendon started cramping at the 1 minute mark in the 2nd quarter and came out at the 40 second mark and didn't return. We were up 24-0. Think about this for a moment. When was the last time we pulled the entire offense at the 5 minute mark of the 4th quarter against Auburn. Last week the offense was a work in progress with all the new starters. I'm convinced they are better now than they were at any point in 2019.

I was impressed with Trey Hill.

I've been in the show me phase of his career. He had a good game.

On a side note, I'm a little concerned about Mathis. I get it, last night Bennett won the job long term and it's always a little embarrassing to come in during garbage time, but his body language was pretty telling. I know he mentioned last year he was considering transferring, so you have to figure he's possibly a risk for the transfer portal this year.

It's hard to believe but Bennett is only a junior and for as well as he's played, we all know he's a placeholder until someone else comes along. My concern, as I've stated is that QB is the only thing holding us back from a Natty and Bennett's play has done nothing to change that opinion.

As a UGA fan, I'm no long satisfied with just being competitive with BAMA. At this point, we should be just as good as them but since Kirby botched the Fields situation we're still not as good as BAMA.

Oh well, Kirby's made his choice and we're going with Bennett this year. I don't think there's any other option at this point so I support his choice but I'm worried it'll be 2-3 years before we have the right guy at QB and by then will we still have a dominant D? Or will we have missed our championship window?

That's news to me. Everything I have read publicly credits UGA staff for keeping him safe

We are in a time when that is every QB every season. Isnt another walkon that transferred starting right now at a P5 school in the midwest?

Fromm took us pretty danged close. Game manager is not awful. If the surrounding talent is there and there is talent on the coaching staff, things are possible.

Bennett is susceptible to the same things that make every other QB QB susceptible (defensive front 4 getting pressure).

After reading the last part of your post, you are a very miserable person. I feel sorry for your wife and kids. I hate to make it personal. But good god.

If this D is what I expect Stetson just may be enough. He's not the QB you'd build, but I hope he grows into a guy who can lead a champion.

I admit I don't like his arm at all. I don't like his inability to really stretch the field, which UT and Bama will try to key on. I don't like that he isn't really elite in any aspect. However, I love how the O plays with him at QB, and until I can see otherwise I can't say they'd do the same for anyone else.

Sucks for both Mathis and JT because any other year one of them would likely have taken the reigns. The team would have multiple games to work things out. This year we have no such luxury.

I still say we get those guys plenty of snaps - whenever we get a chance. However, it's Stetson's show right now. I'm getting behind him.

?

Bizarre, what does UGA's defense have to do with those things?

My P Beach and GB places both got surge. Not as bad as some did. One dude has a 50’ boat in his pool. Well, on his pool. I wasn't there for it. Was supposed to be there this coming week, but looks like another one Is coming, so Im out.

I'm reading posts like this and a thought crossed my mind. The entire SEC is scared shitless of Stetson Bennett right now.
He could have put more on that deep pass if he wanted. He put too much air under the ball but it did travel 55 yards in the air.
