He gets a little lead and completely slams on the breaks. We all know how this tendency of his will play out. It'll be enough to beat the average teams in the SEC but against the big boys when you need to make big time plays, it won't be enough.

Also, for as much as I appreciate what Bennett's doing, he's probably not going to beat BAMA. We'll go as far as our defense will take us.

On the positive side, Kearis Jackson has completely transformed.

I'm so tired of turtle kirby. At least this one wasn't as bad. We were still moving the ball, but weren't as aggressive and penalties killed.

I mean, if Auburn has actually scored a TD in the game and Smart was still playing conservative I’d understand the frustration.

When it becomes statistically impossible the other team can score enough to beat you if you keep the clock moving...and you’re running the ball....is it coming off the gas to just win the game?

Agreed. We were up. They couldn’t score. The defense stayed aggressive and didn’t just sit back and let auburn complete easy passes. We bullied them running the ball.

We were up 3 TDs. Run the clock out and win the game.

Does Kirby not do the same thing every game? Gets a little lead, takes the foot off the gas and puts all the pressure on our defense.

Instead of just running the ball to milk clock he should've thrown some more to work out the kinks for future games.

And for the people who think I'm trolling, WE SCORED 3 PTS IN THE SECOND HALF.

That is 100% worth talking about/criticizing. We all know that's a red flag worth consideration. That aint gonna work in Tuscaloosa.

Imagine being upset about a 27-6 win over a Top 10 opponent who happens to be our Rival. Sounds like a miserable way to live.

I’m with you, Kirby has a serious problem with a lead against talented opponents. I won’t argue that.

However, in this case he let our defense control the narrative. And he pulled back the reins on a QB who is efficient but could get us in trouble if he forces throws.

You have to understand the overall narrative. We have an unknown team at this point. New faces on the line. New tailbacks. A former walk on at QB. He played it safe and we emasculated a big time rival and a SEC team that recruits right in our backyard and is a regular in the top 25. We need to improve across the board, but given what’s going on in this conference, lll take the W over Auburn and Gus’ bitch arse any day of the week. Go dawgs. We hunker’d down tonight.

You realize that we have an ELITE defense! A two score lead might as well be a three-four possession game...and every coach in the land is going to try to milk every second out the clock. It pisses me off to no end that we don't run the score up, but this game was over at the half....as usual. frick Auburn and the mule they rode in on. Tennessee better get ready, the Mailman is coming to deliver.

How many times do we have to show you that there is no such thing?

I must admit during halftime I had flashbacks to the Falcons Super Bowl game. So I wouldn’t have minded a few more points in the second half. But man, was our defense impressive. Nix was running for his life all night.

You are the same people who will bitch about other teams like Ohio st jump us in the polls because they are willing to run up the score. You dolts haven’t figured out style points yet. Not to mention the team isn’t conditioned to focus and keep the hammer down all game which will be needed against fla, tenn, and Alabama.

This isn't the BCS. If you win the SEC no one gives a frick if you score 50 per game.

We were gashing them with 5 yard runs and chewing up 40 seconds per play with a 3 score lead. There is nothing better to break* a team’s will than that. Auburn had long fields all game. It was a thing of beauty.
