I actually agree with this. I know we hammered Auburn last night, and it was fun, but this is a team who has a tendency to get a lead and then not go for the killshot. It happened twice against Alabama. It happened against Notre Dame, Auburn, and A&M last year. At this point, I could not give any less of a frick about being classy. I'd rather be accused of running up the score than made fun of for blowing a big lead. We should have come out of halftime with the mentality that the score was 0-0.

We didn’t put on the brakes as much as it felt like we stalled in the red zone after successful drives. But I’ll need to watch it again. Also we’re not the only team that adjusts at half.

Auburn was whipped. We could move the ball with run blocking against at least a serviceable SEC D Line. That’s more important than running up the score or practicing the passing game and putting a damper on a stellar performance from a QB getting his confidence. The confidence boost the o line got will be big going forward.....olinemen live for a game like that

People who say “stacking the box and putting on the brakes” kinda think they know what they are talking about, but typically do not. There are exceptions. Not on this thread tho..

Kirby didn't need to run up the score. The game was over at half time. Zeus only got two carries in the second half. There was no reason to keep feeding Zamir--he and the defense had already prevailed.
I enjoyed seeing McIntosh and Milton in the second half. Those guys need to see action.
