I will confess that I would prefer a thinner OC.

When there are options, I generally prefer avoiding fat and/or bald coaches.

Yeah, let's let them steal a guy who would massively upgrade their offensive coordinator position, who knows everything about Georgia's (Kirby Smart's) offensive philosophy and playbook, knows everything about our 2019 offensive recruiting board, and who has designed and run an extremely effective offense at UGA.

What will happen is Tennessee will get a big recruiting boost by selling Chaney's success and from the improvement in their 2019 offensive output. And Georgia's offensive recruiting will have to sell kids on a huge question mark for the foreseeable future. Sure, send Jim Chaney packing and lets go with Coley.

New OC and DC for 2019, and a big hit in returning offensive production at RB, TE, and WR. Not the recipe for a NC run.

No way Chaney makes a lateral move for a program that's still rebuilding

Chaney has lived in Athens and heard how batshit crazy Pruitt is... if he still goes to UT, it will be for a big contract that will insulate him from the inevitable shite storm Pruitt creates.

I sat beside Chaney at the movies once. Movie was 15:17 to Paris and he ate a shite ton of popcorn.

Had that guilty I’m gonna leave Georgia after this season look on his face when we walked past him leaving......probably nothing though.

He was hired by Kirby so I think he sticks around one more season and then Kirby gets rid of him or he goes on his own.

That's not gonna happen. Tennessee has every incentive to offer Chaney a big long term contract right now. He knows the defenses of every SEC east team, including Georgia and he fills a big hole in their offensive staff. Chaney would be a game changer for Pruitt's rebuild. Kirby has to at least match their offer, which would probably be one of the highest for any coordinator anywhere.

it's not a lateral move if you are out of work...

also, crocks and no socks is the worst!

He does look unhealthy to me and a small fry away from a heart attack. I think he stays as long as Fromm is around. We aren't hurting on playmakers and scoring. We seem to shite the bed at the worst times.

Coach Smart should give Chaney free rein to call all plays and concentrate on managing the team. That's what a HC is supposed to do. Same for defense. If Smart wants to coach he should hire a former successful HC nearing retirement as Co-HC and let him manage everything.
Look at game video and Coach Smart is jumping around on every play yelling and signalling. No way he can follow the flow of the game and make good decisions on time outs and critical plays.
Losing Chaney for a lesser experienced OC and then doing the same as before is wrong.

So there you were...

Chaney's staying just far back enough not to creep out the lady, but close enough to still get a good view of her jiggling yoga pants arse. And you're staying just far back enough not to creep out Chaney, but close enough to snap an undercover creeper pic of him....

This is kind of like in the movies when a conman spots another conman pulling a con. Because they're kindred souls that can spot another grifter a mile away.

Isn’t going to the movies by yourself a little odd?

I think the crucial detail missing is.....did FlexDawg take this pic and follow CHaney in to the theatre and THEN sit down right beside him? Or was FlexDawg already in the theatre and Chandy randomly sat beside him and the pic was taken on the way out?

The answer to this is the difference between about a Creeper Level 2 for the situation and a Creeper Level 10,.

Agree completely. If he hasn't realized it already, sooner or later Kirby has to quit thinking he knows how to manage the offense. No way that a defensive minded head coach, with all his other responsibilities, can be better at making those decisions than a good OC who spends much more time analyzing and coaching that side. If we make a change, it needs to be someone that Kirby can turn off his microphone to the offensive staff, other than a very few strategic calls. Otherwise all he'll be able to keep are less talented yes men.
