I think this might be the most improved unit in 2019. Really excited to see Smith, Anderson, Cox next season.

Rusty also expect Jermaine Johnson to start. Said he's the best JUCO he's ever covered.

what I meant was, that in a few years we will have the ability to replace a departing Roquan with someone like a sophomore-level Nakobe Dean, rather than relying on Juway Taylor/Tae Crowder as stop-gaps.

Then we have a development problem

I don't think true freshmen going through growing pains counts as a development problem. I would wholeheartedly expect many 18 year old guys adjusting from HS ball to the SEC to struggle a bit.

We're not talking about freshmen though. We'll be talking about juniors and sophomores who were part of the #3 and #1 classes, respectively.

I agree that the roster wasn't at the level we're talking about this year. Next year, it absolutely should be imo.

To use your example, we're about to replace Juwan Taylor with Channing Tindall and/or Quay Walker with Nakobe Dean right behind them.

ILB should be equivalent or a smidge better

I think they should be way better.

OLB will be better as well IMO.

Yeah i forgot about our other ILBs, that was a mistake. That should be quite a bit better.

I have no idea how Tae Crowder will still be around, but that definitely helps in case Tindall and/or Walker don’t pan out.

Crowder/Rice will be solid. Having Tindall, Walker, Dean, and Marshall around as back ups/potential starters is encouraging to me.

I think a rebuilding year is one that we go into it not fully expecting to contend for the playoffs.

sounds like a 2010 Alabama scenario, which I think is pretty fair. And even then, they lost to #2 Auburn by 1, #10 LSU by 3, and #19 South Carolina while rolling in the Capital One Bowl. If those teams that I listed are all legit next year, then I think you could see something similar. But I don't know enough about the details regarding your offensive line to comment much further than that.

The offense is what scares me the most. A new OC would surely be an adjustment for Fromm and going 0-3 vs Tua won't help his draft stock. In all honestly we need a fullback for our offense or a player who can play that roll. I like traditional fullback who are low to the earth, physical with good hands

Exactly!! These guys are studs and they just got their ears wet this past season. Our team is going to be bigger, faster and have some experience. 2019 is going to be awesome!!

I expect 2019 UGA to be the best team of my lifetime if Fromm stays healthy.

No excuses. The roster is fricking loaded

This. We've been trending towards 2019 since Smart was hired. This will be a playoff or bust team, and that may even be setting the bar too low.

We are Georgia!! Stampeding over Kentucky means nothing

If beating a lesser opponent means nothing, then the opposite is also true; i.e., that would mean that getting steamrolled by Texas does mean something.

Kentucky was good this year, and we beat them convincingly. That was a good thing.

Risky expectation, since it ignores unpredictables like injuries. *IF* the key players stay healthy, then the playoffs is likely; if not, it becomes a more dicey situation.

Running back room is .. Meh

WTF? Swift, White, Cook and Herrien, and Kenny McIntosh. Sound familiar? I especially cant wait to see White in action and also see how much bulk Cook builds off season cause that little guy can run!

It’ll be interesting to see how Florida does with high expectations this year.

They're losing a ton on the OL plus the 5 juniors who declared. With all those guys coming from injuries and suspensions Mullen actually inherited a pretty good situation last year.

Highly doubt they win 10 games or finish top.

No.

2018 was the last year you can use that. This coming season 3/4 of the players will be Kirby’s guys. Switching coordinators doesn’t equate to rebuilding.

Probably about as well as USCe did with high expectations last year.
