I think he runs whatever the talent on the team allows him to run. Which is why Arkansas sucked so bad under him: mediocre talent

It's really hard to get excited about this hire to be honest. I was kinda getting excited about Stanford from ND but I really like what I hear about the OL Coach. If we get really nasty up front and dominate the line of scrimmage again everything else will be easier.
Think about it too, who has he been able to coach at QB that was any good since Drew Bree's and what big time QB would want to go to Arkansas or Pittsburgh? If Eason stays, and I'm sure they will have a series of him guys to let Chaney and Eason watch together, this offense could end up being pretty nasty.

Y'all think I'm crazy but let's say Eason doesn't sign with us or doesn't start next year. If our OL returns to dominance again Lambert will look really, really good next year because we can run the ball and protect the passer.

no...lambert won't look any better. He will be consistently inconsistent. Shitty footwork, runs like a scared rabbit even when he has all day to throw. Even against Bama he had time to throw but was too scared or indecisive to deliver the ball accurately and on time.

Given Smart has game planned against this guy numerous times and knows what he's doing - he has to have a reason to make this hire that we're all missing.
