So I’m sitting here thinking about this season, and wondering how different it would really be if we didn’t lose that SC game. Because of how sloppy we’ve won, I think we’d still be #3 behind LSU and OSU. Lose the SECCG and we’d have one loss and probably still be out of the CFP. We need to just go out and play like we’ve got nothing to lose next week, just like most of the teams that played us this year. Go Dawgs!

This is the only correct answer.

Nope. We struggled with A&M and LSU is beating them like a read-headed stepchild.

Blaylock and Pickens will be All SEC one day. Well...assuming Pickens can keep from getting in trouble.
But for now, no one is scared of the receiving corps of Pickens, Blaylock, Roberston, Landers, Simmons and Kearis Jackon. At least nobody with elite DB's like LSU.
Something miraculous would need to happen for UGA to have a balanced attack and keep our defense rested.

Hey....Landers caught a ball today. He’s on the verge of balling out.

Stetson and Landers have a long standing chemistry on the scout team going back years.

We need a Stetson-Landers package.

They showed being cocky this evening, especially their coach. They shouldn't get too cocky because it could be their demise.

If we win I'm still not sure lsu makes it in.
unless we see chaos, I just don't see how the committee could justify taking a conference championship game lose over a conference winner with the same record
if they do, why even play the games

You would think if we lose and play Oklahoma or Baylor that would be motiviation for the bowl game. However after the Texas game last year, it's highly likely we don't show up.

The offense (and punting) was the issue last year in the Sugar bowl.
Maybe that inconsistency was a sign of what was to come for this season.
The defense last season was missing the best DL, best OLB, best ILB, and best DB.
I don't expect a repeat performance because I dont expect the defense to be lacking talent.

The last 2 months I've been citing the playoff commitee's decisions, primarily as my 100% rock solid factual proof that alabama would be left out of the playoffs at 11-1.
This situation is different though because we don't have a true comparison for it. The only other case we have evidence for is in 2015 when 12-0 Iowa (top 4 in playoff rankings) faced 11-1 MSU in teh Big10CCG and lost. MSU went to teh playoffs, Iowa was left out at 5th. The big difference between then and now though is LSU's resume is MILEsE better than what Iowa's was, and they are squarely in the top 2 rather than clinging in at #4. So this is a big of a moldbreaking situation if it were to happen. So that being said all of this is just my opinion based on what I THINK the committee would do.
And you are correct, one consistent theme they have show time and time again, year after year is they HIGHLY value conference championships. Big time. Utah and Baylor/OU would have the same record as LSU but be a conference champ. LSU would definitely have much better wins and a better loss than any of the 3 though.
The wildcard variable in this situation that I can't shake though is the fact that we would have a rematch. I jsut can't see the committee thinking it's ok to have 2 teams play one month later after we've already seen the outcome of them playing. In the playoffs we've only had 1 case of 2 teams form the same conference (2017), but that was an easier pill to swallow since uga and bama hadn't played that year. It just doesn't make logical sense to me for the committee to basically say "hey uga, congrats on 12-1 and beating LSU for the SECC, but it didn't really matter all that much because you have to beat them again for it to REALLY count". Likewise them telling Utah or baylor/ou that the team they're competing against for the 4th spot is essentially being given a mulligan and a do-over.

We will NOT play in the Peach Bowl. If we win, OSU will take Atlanta in a heartbeat. They will not play Oklahoma or Utah in Phoenix. If we win, Clemson vs UGA in Phoenix is a given.

that's my thinking. I was under the impression that the commitee picks the matchups based on what's best for the 1 seed, but if it's not advantageous for them they can switch. Like like year I think bama as the 1 seed was slotted to dallas but since OU was their opponent they opted for miami instead.
The 4 seed this year is likely utah or the big12 winner, all of which are going to be relatively close to Arizona. So it seems like a lock that OSU would opt for Atlanta, they woudl also get the added benefit of making both of their potnetial NCG teams travel far as hell.
