Yeah, he isn't doing his progressions, he is locked onto a wr.... hasn't mattered yet but the SEC schedule is going to be hell... I think he got concussed as he kept doing the funny, bell rung head shake over and over.

It literally could not have been placed better.
I don't know the Curtis throw so I can't compare. But throwing a strike 40 yards in stride right to left and on the facemask is perfect enough for me. More please.

Curtis is a great talent that’s not doing himself any favors at Vandy. He’d be much better off long term learning a pro style system. Even if he doesn’t get to play he’ll learn more and can always transfer to a team to showcase his abilities for the next level.
Being the starter from day 1 sounds good until you get killed on a team whose talent level doesn’t match well with other SEC competition and will never realistically compete for any kind of championship.

Gunner hit Colbie Young in stride for 40+ down the sideline on play one last year in Knoxville.

Curtis is the living embodiment of why 5 star guys will never work for us.... it's their ego... They want to play right away, but where they go, the team goes and we compete for championships every year... we don't have the time for a egotistical freshman to learn on the job.... His int at the end was horrific, triple coverage, and a field goal goes to ot.... Zero awareness. He is a one two read guy and run... That will get you killed in the SEC... I predict he doesn't finish the season if that is the case and possibly leads the conference in ints....
Meanwhile at UGA, he would have run with the 2-3s and run the practice squad against the best defense in the country for a season....now that would prepare him for the gauntlet

Bingo. The narrative whiplash from going from Stet to the exact opposite end of the spectrum with Carson Beck right back to the type of QB that we need for our specific brand of football to be successful the way Gunner has been was fast and furious.
When LSU fans say that they need a particular type of coach for them to win - I get it, because we're in the exact same boat when it comes to our quarterbacks..

Kirby doesn’t want to risk the ball and would rather grind and get first downs as that keeps the D fresh and wears down the opposing team. He likes explosives as he calls them, but not putting the ball at great risk to do so. This is UGA football now and this has proven to be a strategy that has us at the top of the game. For whatever reason, some of our fans refuse to understand this and they get upset that UGA isn’t chucking it all over the field, like the teams we are beating. It’s an odd take for sure.

How we are built, this is the only logical way.... If one of the 5 star guys would trust the system and sit, he would likely be a finalist for heisman and a near first overall pick where the real money is made.

Except you have to put the ball at risk against good teams. And we had our best season ever when we had a QB and OC that didn't play Uber conservative...aka the Kirby way...good offense beats good defense. Especially good QBs.
If we didn't have a QB capable of choosing to throw and making the throws into tight windows we don't beat OSU in 2022 or Bama in 2021.
Man ball can and has worked and it resulted in the golden age of UGA for the most part, but the best Kirby teams were with Monken at OC and with him having full control of the offense.
I worry about the games where our defense can't stop the opponent and our run game isn't working. Can gunner and the pass catchers carry us? I haven't seen anything yet this year to say I trust him in that situation yet, but I'm hopeful to see it as the competition ramps up.

54.65% run
45.35% pass
Bobo play calls 2023-2025:
47.5% run
52.5% pass

Yes in a thread where I brought up concerns about Gunner being able to be a difference maker, I referenced a QB that was a difference maker.
Not sure what point you are trying to make lol
I never referenced stars just talent. Stetson had a great arm talent and the confidence to make throws even when the picture wasn't clear. Also a better athlete than Gunner.
