OKST is up 52-0 on Murray State near the end of the third and just got another takeaway.
Yes, I know it is an FCS school, but it's good to see the Pokes not come out flat after the big win last week, especially considering the Pokes have struggled even against FCS teams over the past two years. The backups are playing with intensity, too.

I don't want to turn this into a Gunner hate thread....and I'm not even trying to hate ok Gunner but watching Chambliss, Kamario Taylor, Curtis, Russel, and now Philo....from a pure QB talent level I think we have a bottom half of the league QB
No gunner makes up for some of it with gritt and toughness but idk man...defense and running game going to have to carry us this year again. And I don't like our chances on defense against some of these dudes.

We’ll just have to see what happens when we need him to press. Luckily we haven’t had too thus far. I mean today, if they’re giving you 7 yds per carry and wide open, green grass take it.

Gunner had the best QBR in the country against ranked teams last season.
Gunner had one of the best fourth quarter QBRs in college football history last season (189). He was 56-67 for 567 yards with 7 touchdowns and 0 intersceptions in the fourth quarter last year. Fernando Mendoza led the nation in total QBR last season (182).
He finished seventh in the Heisman as a first year starter.
The lack of faith in Gunner that so many Dawg fans seem to have is dumbfounding to me. It's like frigging Stetson Bennet all over again smh.

I'm much more concerned about OM in Nov than I was previously, and I'm much less worried about OU next week than at the beginning of the season.

That's fine but if you watch Gunner you can just tell he's not at the level of these guys. The short passes and no turnovers help the QBR numbers I'm sure.
I was a stet believer and stet was different. He was much more gunslinger and let it rip than Gunner and had the arm talent.
Again I'm not trying to hate on Gunner. I think we can win a lot of games and already have with him, but the margin of error is just much smaller with Gunner.

This is where having so many awesome TEs helps. If we run all four of them out there with Frazier, it puts the defense in a serious bind. If they put a nickel package out there, we could line up and run power football right at them. If they line up with run prevent personnel, we could spread the field and find matchups in the passing game.
I'm guessing we have some stuff like this in the playbook that we haven't shown yet because we haven't needed to.

Yeah the offense has played well and scored points. That's not really the point.
Nothing I have seen has shown me that Gunner has improved in the areas he struggled with last year.

He seems much more in command of the offense.

He still bails on clean pockets to early or checks down before deeper routes can develop
