A&M is on the rise. Arky is too. I’m not sold on Bama’s OC and DC. For all the fretting about playing them, especially with Burton transferring there, they have a long row to hoe to repeat. I’m especially looking forward to see what the Pitboss can do next year. Bama plays at Arkansas, Tennessee, Ole Miss and LSU. IMHO they won’t survive that and repeat unless they improve at the OL and LB positions.

You have some valid points but, I think Bama could very well be better on defense, and that will help their offense a good bit. And, of course, there's Saban...

Will definitely be interesting to see it's not like A&m hasn't been recruiting at a high level the past couple years. They're recruiting class this year is just insane the best ever, but now it all comes down to development and what they do with those players. I definitely think they can challenge Bama though we shall see. The Aggies just need to be more consistent. They have already shown they can beat Alabama at their place let's see if they can do it on the road.

I think if I'm trying to be as impartial as possible I don't see how they aren't the odds on favorite to win it all. They return the best offensive and defensive players in the country. They were fairly pedestrian almost all of last year but switched some guys around on both sides late in the season which seemed to help. I keep up with bama a moderate amount of most of their fans, even well BEFORE the season, said last year would be somewhat of a "rebuilding" year (as much saban can have one of those) based on all the losses and new pieces. And even in a down year they were still a quarter away from winning it all.

Also, ther'es realistically only about 3 teams any year that are actual contenders. Last yera was pretty down overall compared to the norm. Unless some new contenders emrege it looks like it'll be us, bama, and OSu again next yera just like this yera.

I love arkansas's emergence but they just don't have the horses yet to beat bama IMO. Texas A&M obviously has shown that they can do it but this yera will be in tuscaloosa and I'm sure the team will have that one circled all season.

I think A&M is going to run into a culture problem with the way they have recruited using NIL money.

Jimbo isn't the best at leading the program when he has surrounded himself with Alphas looking for a payday in the NFL. A la Jameis Winston.

I wouldn't be surprised to see an implosion during the 2023 season of some kind.

I had 2 concerns for Bama next year. replacing Metchie/Williams and RB...

Both of those position for 2022 still looked good, just not elite....

Before the portal..........

Now with Jermaine Burton and Jahymyr Gibbs I'm not sure they have a weak spot.

I don't about that one, chief. I have a feeling they'll be historically good next season.

Secondary looks like a concern for them

I know several former Bama players and some boosters. Word is Saban has told the players that practice is going to be more intense and focused on mistake-free football and players are on notice that conditioning is going to be pushed all spring and summer.

Bryce Young
Will Anderson
Jahmyr Gibbs
Jermaine Burton
Dallas Turner

They might not need anyone else. My only real concern for them is OL, but they are going to be very, very good next season.

Stet > Young… Natty 1-0

Will Anderson < Smith and Beal

Gibbs > LMFAO Robinson, Milton, Tosh, etc… FFS

Burton lost his job to MaHonkey… AD Mitchell will be the best WR in CFB… kinda related but not… we return Jackson, Rose, Mitchell, Dom, Bowers, add Delp… and MAYBE Gilbert

Turner is a great player… But overall they’re fricked IMO.

O-Line… LMAO is this a real conversation?

The tables have turned. frick them.

This is where a decade of Saban and our own experience from last year leads me....but the reality is the SECC game was the clear outlier for them. Not the A&M game. They played better in the champ game than they had in every other game except the SECC.

My gut says they'll be hell on wheels....my mind is trying to convince me otherwise.

I'm not sure this is correct. McHonkey was primarily a 3rd down possession receiver. He runs precise patterns, has great hands, and just seems to find the openings. Burton still got some action on deep passes where his speed could get him past the DB. He will be very good at Alabama.

Consensus was that it was a major rebuilding year except at WR for them. I think we may see some return to the normal for Alabama in 2022 (rather than them struggling and barely beating a few teams as happened in 2021).

Where they have some gaps, the draw of playing with Bryce Young and it simply being Alabama will likely get them some additional impact players from the portal.

Feels like the elite talent in 2022 is again: Alabama, UGA, Ohio State, maybe Texas A&M?

Bama is going to be a much better team next year. A&m is gonna take some time for those recruiting classes to kick in

Nothing about them isn’t more solid imo. I do believe A&M is closing the talent gap but nobody else on that side is close imo. A&M also has to prove they won’t lay the occasional egg against inferior teams.

I think TXAM is winning the west.

No stats, no reason; other than I think Haynes King will be the breakout player next year.

perhaps, but I think people have fallne into the trap of only being laser focused on ONE of their games last yera (they beat bama) and ingoring all the rest. They beat a pathetic Colorado 10-7. They lost to Arkansas and MSu back to back. Lost to ole miss by double digits then to a dreadful LSu to end the season. This was an above average team that had some head scratching losses that also happened to play out of their skulls for one game and beat alabama.

Re A&M- I'll remind everyone that the type of talent they are bringing in is nothing more than the ticket required for entry. Jimbo Fisher is fools gold. Talent being equal he'll never beat Saban and Kirby in the same year.

Is Blaylock back? I thought he had the potential to be one of the best receivers before he was hurt
