He didn't really come out and say which bowl when asked, but you would have to think one of the Florida bowls.

He just made a comment about Bobo and how he did a incredible job calling the offensive plays and took a long pause. Mcgarity just had a dumb look on his face. I think that was a little jab

It really sounds like Richt really really misses being an OC and calling plays. Kinda sounds like to me that he would almost rather be an OC than a HC if he were to coach again.

McGarity hasn't given up any information at all.

In the heat of emotion about the news, people lose sight of the fact that you can support CMR the person, and what he did for the University, and still be excited about where the program can be headed.

Why wouldn't he?That prick has as much to do with the state of our FB program as CMR.

Did ANYBODY ask McGarity questions about denying Bobo a raise last year?

Definitely agree. He made sure to emphasize that he (Richt) thought Bobo did an incredible job. Almost emphasized it to the point where it was clear that he was the only guy on the podium who felt that way.

Uncomfortable and uninformative. AGM didn't give up anything. All we know is Richt hates him and wants to call plays.

Hard to imagine Richt will stick around in an assistant athletic director type of role after watching this. He'll end up as HC at another school within a month.

If Mark Richt hates you, you're doing something wrong.

While this is a great question to make McGarity squirm, that wouldn't have stopped our QB situation or chubb going out in a freak acident. Richt and Pruitt held this team together and got 9 wins, some ugly, but as we predicted. If anything Richt was the perfect coach for us this year to hold us together if we're headed for change. I dont think anyone could have quelled the players and put us at ease like him. That was the final DGD move from Richt, now he should win the bowl game, keep in touch with the graduating players, and do some well-deserved traveling and spend some time with his wife and family.

I would be really surprised if he is a HC somewhere else right away. He talked a lot about the grind and how taxing it is. I could definitely see him go somewhere as OC and cool off for a bit, then throw his name in the ring for a HC job once he gets the itch again.

Slightly OT, but USCw just hired their interim coach which makes us the best job on the market

It might have kept Bobo here and with that it would have kept Friend and his man scheme here instead of our shitty zone scheme.

That is shocking to me. USC could have gone after much bigger names than Clay Helton. I do think he'll be a good one, but I wonder if being full time HC under that much media scrutiny will be too much for him considering this is his first HC job.

Don't frick with what works. Helton took another shitty situation with a drunk HC and turned it into a spot in the Pac12 championship game. Clearly the players will play for him and he can get results.

Smart move by them to keep him, IMO.
