Didn't see this one coming. I think he needed more time but best of luck to him.

Don't think he will get drafted, but will definitely get a contract at the next level IMO. Dude was a stud that didn't fit our offense early in his career. Really wish him the best. A DGD

I’d guess Arik, but not Big O.

Believe he has graduated so no real risk to him. Get a spot on a team.. make some dollars or start a career path.

Hate losing so many guys that know the system but good having so many early enroll. Also..who knows what system changes are coming.

We need to drop about 10 more scholarship guys by fall.

Our super seniors count in the 85 limit for the fall. It will be tougher to get under the limit for 2022 than 2021.

This. Probably a few more "surprise" departures before the summer crop of recruits get in as well. Can blame that one on the NCAA honestly... give a freebie year for everyone but force the schools how to figure out the mess that was made immediately... seems like year one should have been unlimited super seniors, year two 5 or less, and year three 2-3 or something...

If we can make the +7 Initial Counters thing dependent on replacing transfers out, seems like that would have been an easy fix to not force teams to push guys out that the might otherwise like to keep around.

Was he good on special teams? Guys like his body type who can block can make rosters for special teams work.

Why not transfer to place where he can start, show his talents and perhaps improve your odds of getting into the league?

We cant be over 85 in the fall.

Call it whatever you want (encouraged to go to the nfl).

It sucks trading experience for talent. But that is the difference between college and the nfl. Age limits.

He will be undrafted and most likely won’t make a roster but it’s not like another year will change that for him.

I trust that they have their reasons but why another dept TE who has been here 3-4 years who has barely seen the field?

We still need about 9 more spots.
Fitz has an opportunity in the nfl.
The others are fighting for an opportunity to contribute.
I expect more after spring at the tight end spot.
This way, fitzpatrick gets to shoot his shot in interviews and pro day.
