I copied the following from their Rivals’ board. It is SO over the top I have trouble believing the poster was serious.

quote:

The Irish are loaded at all positions no matter what the board wussies think ! And Georgia is just the team the Irish defense sets up good against. Jake Fromm is a drop back passer that the Irish defensive line can get to. The Irish have the BEST defensive line in the country ! And will prove to the pro scouts how great they are against one of the best olines in the country ! The Irish have to go against the best oline in the country at practice every day so they will be ready ! The Irish will pound the rock with the great Tony Jones JR and the superstud Jahmir Smith (Two tds against Louisville). Ian Book will keep the chains moving with Chase Claypool and Tommy Tremble ! And hit a couple of long balls to Lawrence Keys and Chris Finke ! The Irish got 11 TFLS against Louisville ! They also rushed for 235 yards with only ten going to Jafar Armstrong ! The Irish Oline is so GREAT that even ChaseBall would gain 85 yards on 18 carries and he is just a fan ! Julian Okwara , Adetokunbo Ogudeji,Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Daelin Hayes, Khalid Kareem,Jayson Ademilola, Myron Tagovailoa-Amosa, Kurt Hinnish and the boys will punish Jake Fromm and his backup after Jake's body cant take any more ! They will also stuff the run ! Kyle Hamilton and Alohi Gillman and the boys will get interceptions and some bone jarring tackles ! This Irish team is loaded ! Better than the 93 Irish ! And the injured players will be back soon ! Go Irish ! 14 and 0 ! Matt Ballis is Doctor Frakenstein ! All the Irish players are ripped !

So what I'm seeing is that the weed in Indiana is hella strong.

They are a very naive and optimistic fan base. Got on their board back in 2012 when UGA was playing Bama for the right to play ND. Wanted to see what their vibe was. This is pretty much what I saw.

Wow. Just wow. We beat them in their own house 2 years ago. It was a close game yeah, but it happened. Do they even know what they are about to walk into?

We beat them at their house 2 years ago when they had one of the best O lines in the country and we had a true freshman Quarterback starting what....his first full game???? Is that correct? My memory isn't keen, but it was something like that. Now we have arguable one of the 2-3 best teams we may have ever fielded in terms of talent, experience and depth, at our house....... Ain't skeered.

Their expectations are a little more tempered on the 247sports board.

Still leaning on the optimistic side though

On Stubhub the other day, tickets in the Tech Deck were only about $215, FWIW.

Betcha they pull the trigger on the red LED stadium lights for this game.

in the offseason we overhauled our lights to be LED that can be controlled and do cool stuff. It's the same thing bama put in we just didn't make a huge spectacle about it like they did.

Obviously we can't use it yet becuase of day games but you'll see it for ND. I bet for certain that they'll do something prior to the 4th quarter light up by dimming em all down kinda like the braves do.

Sounds like an alter trolling their fans. One hint is all of the (!)'s in the posts.

I don't expect a blowout, though. I am hoping we win by 2 TDs.

Hell yes, sounds awesome. I didn’t make it to a home game the past 2 seasons but will be there for ND.

I’m shocked that a team’s fans are overly optimistic. We’ve definitely never been that way before...
