There's a story at 247 Sports that says UGA will be playing Louisville in football...2026 and 2027. Could be a nice road trip.

There’s Churchill downs and the baseball factory and chin beards and neck tattoos. I think that’s about it

Hate anything and everything to do with Louisville and the roads around Louisville ever since I got a flat tire going 70 on the interstate out of Louisville on the way to the Notre Dame game.

Aside from that bad experience, they have a lovely White Castle there. Buy one Castle Pack 9, get 1 free construction spike in your tire.

Love Lexington, fun town for a football weekend. Good food, whiskey and usually a solid win. Low key weekend...

I'd like to see us get another home and home with Arizona State. That was a fun trip. Their fans were amazed people traveled so far for a football game. We made a few friends there and several came to Athens and sat through that torrential rain to see their team lose.

I live about 30 minutes from Sun Devil stadium. Bulldogs fans run deep out here in the southwest, I was quite surprised myself.

I’d go back out and spend a week in Sedona in a heartbeat. Phoenix metro doesn’t do anything for me but I can turn that game trip into a helluva vacation

I'm fine with scheduling a "name" team from a P5 that we should have no issue beating, teams like louisville, NC State, UNC, Virginia, etc.

Scheduling texas, OU, FSU, OSU, Oregon, UCLA, etc, often times overlapping having to play 2 in the same season, in addition to our regular P5 end of year opponent PLUS our regualr SEC schedule couldn't be more retarded.

I love the tougher scheduling.

The problem is that no other sec team is really following our example.

I wish it were different. I wish selection committees stacked teams based on wins.

But they actually do the opposite. They stack teams based on losses (it doesnt matter if the loss is to the #1 team in the country. It is the equivalent to a loss to Syracuse).
There is no playoff benefit to these games.

Exactly. Plus we have a ticket to the CFP every year called the SEC championship.

Adding non conference games is great for fans but reduces our chances of making the CFP.

That explains a lot.

Playoff expansion makes the regular season less important.

Seeding will always be based on losses (i.e. tougher games dont add value).

An undefeated team (i.e. cincinnati) would be more likely to get into the playoff with expansion. How does uga scheduling ohio state help us if we lose? Instead of beating ohio state, we get the same benefit beating umass (perfect record).

To be clear. Im 100% for tougher scheduling and doing what we do. But we are on an island doing this alone.
How many SEC teams are scheduling 3 p5 OOC games in a season? We will be doing it 3 decades in a row.
