In my pre-season prediction I wrote "the only way Georgia loses this game is if the season goes south and Kentucky is fighting for bowl eligibility."

Well, it has happened.

I did have 1 prophetic comment in my prediction.

I noted in the Spring Game that Georgia's goal line defense was not good.

Seth Emerson reports Georgia is last in the nation in red zone defense.

This is a physically weak team.

No kidding. Small OL and a front 7 made up of true sophomores and freshmen.

The worst part about UGA losing is the fact that you are still here

Yep, and it seems like we have been putting together makeshift OL forever due to insufficient recruiting and various forms of attrition.

I would say they are physically weaker on defense than offense.

According to someone who posted on another thread, Georgia's OL is only 6 lbs on average lighter than Alabama's.

Georgia was lighter on OL by design. Remember Richt wanted them lighter and more mobile.

I think Chaney's scheme is making the OL look bad.

This is probably true. It's amazing how week after week they get pushed around and nothing has changed for improvement.

If Kentucky beats UGA and Tennessee, and Florida loses to Arkansas and LSU, then Kentucky wins the east.

So you're saying that a football program like UGA would only lose to a program like UK if UGA is way down and UK is better than usual?

Holy brilliant analysis.

I promised to self ban, if Georgia beat Florida.

Don't falsely accuse me of not keeping my word.

That's the point. That is the biggest argument for Kirby needing to get his players on campus....the OL. With Pittman/Chaney....we need MUCH bigger OLinemen and we don't have them, right now. You can be successful with relatively smaller OLinemen, but not running Pittman/Chaney's style of offense. That is not to say they should change, necessarily. Just that it will take a year or two to get the players we need....and we will suffer until then.

UK is not better than usual.

They are perennially fighting for a bowl bid.

No need to be a sarcastic smartass.

Not really a product of Kentucky as it is us and utk sucking. Plus the schedule they have played so far.

If the players we have don't fit their scheme, then they should change the scheme for this season. Then bring in their players and go back to their scheme. They are just wasting this season for no reason.
The HC should have a little bit of sense.
