FYI: Schedule and Results of 1st year Georgia coaches since 1938

Compare away. I formerly thought Kirby's 1st year was similar to Goff's, but now I think it may get worse. At least Goff's first year team smeared some opponents.

The only Georgia coach since 1938 who followed up a bad first year with a successful career was Wally Butts. And he suffered a terrible decade in the 1950s that would not be tolerated in today's atmosphere.
Mark Richt and Vince Dooley had reasonably good first years and had successful careers.

I've got 2 locks.
Clinton beats Trump nationally, though it will be closer than it should be. (Who would've thought there were so many pro-rape, racist, fascists in the U.S.?)
Texas A&M beats Mississippi State by more than 13 points.
I believe in a blend of socialism and capitalism, and I strongly favor free trade. My philosophy doesn't fit into your either or categories.

Did you ever want alcohol so bad you would drink from a wine tasting spit bucket

I loved the movie, Sideways.
That movie is hilarious.
But I didn't realize until recently that there was a scene in that movie when Paul Giammatti drank from a wine tasting spit bucket.
I remembered him chugging wine, but I didn't know that was a wine-tasting spit bucket.
I never hard of such a thing.
Who the hell wastes wine (i.e. alcohol) by spitting it out?
I don't drink alcohol for the taste. I drink it for the BUZZ!
If I wanted a buzz and all there was available was a wine-tasting spit bucket...that thing would be emptied out in a hurry boiby.
If you also would drink from a wine-tasting spit bucket, we could be buddies.
If you actually know what a wine-tasting spit bucket is...well we can get along, but there is no chance we could be real heartfelt pals.
And yeah, I am proud to admit that I am an alcoholic perverted pothead, boiby.

re: Richt was never fired

He stabbed us in the back last year...for sure.
I posted my paranoid conspiracy last year on SEC rant and no one believed me.
He started Bauta after the Miami job was offered. So he would look like a persecuted Christian when he got fired.
Still...f*ck McGarity for choosing Kirby Dumb.
My teams are always screwed G*d9mmt.

UK is not better than usual.
They are perennially fighting for a bowl bid.
No need to be a sarcastic smartass.

Kirby.
I don't think the alumni will be too happy with the upcoming 5-7 and 0-12 finishes.
Kirby is out in 2.
Richt will turn Miami around to challenge for the ACC title but will never win it because everybody knows he can't win the big game.

Kirby Dumb should be fired.

I promised to self ban, if Georgia beat Florida.

In garbage time against Ole Miss I think he had at least half a dozen touches.

I would say they are physically weaker on defense than offense.
According to someone who posted on another thread, Georgia's OL is only 6 lbs on average lighter than Alabama's.
Georgia was lighter on OL by design. Remember Richt wanted them lighter and more mobile.
I think Chaney's scheme is making the OL look bad.

Georgia's Season has gone south and Kentucky is fighting for a bowl

In my pre-season prediction I wrote "the only way Georgia loses this game is if the season goes south and Kentucky is fighting for bowl eligibility."
LINK
Well, it has happened.
I did have 1 prophetic comment in my prediction.
I noted in the Spring Game that Georgia's goal line defense was not good.
Seth Emerson reports Georgia is last in the nation in red zone defense.
This is a physically weak team.

Who would have thought that Messchump would get his first signature SEC win before Smart?
re: Reality
Posted by samson'sseed on 10/30/16 at 9:55 am
Georgia was a really good team with a great offense in 2013.
Despite a ridiculous number of injuries, Georgia posted wins over strong South Carolina and LSU teams and beat UT in Knoxville and came back from 20 points down with a back-up qb to win over Tech.
That was a good year and an exciting team to watch.

I know.
Did he forget about swing passes, screen passes, bootlegs, and roll-outs?
The only good offense Georgia had yesterday were busted plays that forced Eason to roll-out.
That dumb fat putz should have started calling deliberate roll-outs.

re: Offense sucks, Defense is legit.

Defense was average.
Remember, Florida has a pretty terrible offense, yet they completed >50% of 3rd down conversions.
Mel Tucker is a stupid coach.

I missed the first part of that play live.
I was watching the game on television with my parents. On the play before Lindsay Scott's TD catch, Belue threw an incomplete pass into the ground, out of bounds.
I got so disgusted I picked up a Time Magazine and went to my bedroom. On the way, I told my parents, "Dooley blew it again."
I was planning on reading the magazine while sulking.
Then my dad said, "hey Marky, you better come in here and see this."
I got back in the room in time to see Lindsay Scott on the 10 yard line, running into the end zone.
Don't tell my wife this, but that was the happiest day of my life. (It's supposed to be my wedding day.)
