What if Fromm seizes the starting job and we never get to see Fields play?

I have not doubt Fields will plays. He is a game changing type talent. Even if Fromm secures the job and Eason transfers, Fields will play. Fields is a Deshaun Watson type of talent.

Yeah, that is assuredly true. Then again, the same can be said of Hugh Freeze and Ole Miss. If something is too good to be true, fella, it ain't true. Kirby was a first-time head coach and with first a completely unproven track record and then an 8-5 record he was managing to outrecruit - at least on paper - guys like Dabo Swinney and Urban Meyer. Oh, and just FYI...Georgia has also fallen well behind in the facilities arms race. Not only do the Dawgs not have a football-specific ops center like Clemson does and even South Carolina is building, they don't even have a WEZ and have just begun that stage of construction. How's he doing that again? His tactical acumen? (He's not even the DC his replacement there at Alabama, Jeremy Pruitt, is.) His charismatic pesonality? (Nobody's seen it, bunky.) His exemplary character? (Oh, wait, the Dawgs fired one of the more moral and respected coaches in the country because he only won 10 games a year!) Everybody around the region is hearing exactly the same stories about Smart that were swirling around Hugh Freeze five years ago. Crow elsewhere, please. Even more irritating than watching what's going on is listening to Dawg fan derps bragging about it like it's some sort of accomplishment. What's going on in Georgia is tantamount to Lance Armstrong whipping out a hypodermic needle and jamming it into his butt in full view of the world. Kirby's not even troubling himself to be subtle about it.

I'm not saying what Clemson has done over the last few years is a result of cheating but I find it funny to hear them say shite like this because 1) During the 80's (the first so called "glory days"), their national championship and success was a result of cheating. 2) From 1990 to 2010, they only won 10 games in a season once, no championships, and then suddenly they just started to haul in elite talent and win another championship. Also, take in the fact that they are spending a shite load of money on facilities with indoor slides.
I think success has made a lot of those fans delusional. They think that they are unstoppable and if anyone tries to steal their thunder...then they are cheating to do it.

Other than the fact that those players have been recruited by Georgia for as long as any other school has recruited them and there is strong interest in UGA from both.

Found this little gem over there
"Clemson people ache for the chance to beat georgia. They're a real rival, and we love to whip their butts".

So...be still my heart....does Field committing to UGA cause a snowball effect? Do we get a bunch of big ole offensive lineman wanting to ge on board with a rising program? What about a couple of next level receivers? This could be even bigger than just Fields.....

to hell and back. Turns out the whole making money to go to more games after college is a catch 22 when you can't talk about uga or go to games cause you're working. Bastards never mentioned that at graduation

You've to learn to work smarter, not harder.

Sentell over on DN forums referred to about "10 guys"... some of those are likely already committed or leans, some may be 2019 guys as well... At this point I do think it's going to be a "room at the Inn" situation though. Not going to speculate on who, but I do imagine that we lose at least one commit if I had to guess... Maybe not though... only the coaches have a good finger on the pulse of that right now if I had to guess.

I thought I was good at that but then I made a career change and I'll be damned if I dont have to learn how to do it all over again

I admit I am not that knowledgeable about recruiting details but damn, this kid looks very talented! Maybe another Hines Ward? If not as QB, maybe as a WR? Not too sure about him as a TB.

Good haul this year and top 2 in Nation next year at Wide receiver. Good on RB's as well.
Seems legit.
Keep some aspirin in your pocket.

Squirrel, please. In 2013, they beat us in fake Death Valley because of a missed chip shot FG. When they came to Athens, we stomped a mud hole in their sorry, Esso asses.

When the series record is 39-16-4 in favor of Georgia....its not a rivalry.

It's against god awful Sprayberry, but fields just took off with it on a busted play for about 60 yds and shook about 5 tackles for a TD. looked unfair

I don't mind if Fields never plays a down at UGA, or Eason either...or Fromm. Let's get another 5* QB next year! What we are not familiar with is getting all the recruits we want and preventing them from beating us. You can't beat us if you are sitting on OUR bench.
THAT is the Saban process....recruit like crazy, win, recruit like crazy, win....recruiting begins to take care of itself, high level athletes compete against and make each other better, practices become more competitive than games, you process the 3 and 4 stars guys that don't develop, you let a few 5 stars transfer for PT, but they don't beat your stacked roster.....repeat. over and over and over.
We always had to get attached to individual players to show our successes...hopefully team wins and trophies can begin replacing that idea.
Keep recruiting all the 5*!

I was good for a while this year, then the damn floodgates opened... It comes in cycles. You'll get back there.

Did I say he was bad? Or that I wanted him to leave? I said he's the easiest of three to let go, because he is. 3 NFL caliber QBs aren't just going to sit on our roster.
