I already have 2 tickets for a 27 game Saturday package (mostly Wednesdays and Saturday) and would LOVE to share a stake in them. I've had some form of season ticket for 10+ years and love going, but 27 times is TOUGH to pull off...

Section 113, Row 8, on the aisle. Parking pass lot B11.
Seat viewer

Half is $1647(13 games), a third is $1098 (9 games) or quarter share is $823 (7 games).

I thought this might be helpful to those of you that want tix but finding current availability of decent seats limited.

Also missing in this stat is an actual west vs east win breakdown, which may sway things even more in the wests favor...
I am sure one of you has it ready to post...
this east v west will likely even out in the next 4 or 5 years....

For any of you who may be math challenged. A 24 WIN difference is NOT a 24 GAME difference!
It is a 12 GAMES. The west has won 12 more games.

12 games over 5 seasons. 2 per year.

While the West may be "better" ....it ain't a big deal. It is still SEC football.

Corks & Caps in the Buckhead/ Sandy Springs

They carry craft and micro brews, gose, saisons, etc as well as all the wine and liquor you might need. The folks are very knowledgable and helpful, unlike a number of the other larger wine and liqour places.

re: Fields to UGA

I don't mind if Fields never plays a down at UGA, or Eason either...or Fromm. Let's get another 5* QB next year! What we are not familiar with is getting all the recruits we want and preventing them from beating us. You can't beat us if you are sitting on OUR bench.
THAT is the Saban process....recruit like crazy, win, recruit like crazy, win....recruiting begins to take care of itself, high level athletes compete against and make each other better, practices become more competitive than games, you process the 3 and 4 stars guys that don't develop, you let a few 5 stars transfer for PT, but they don't beat your stacked roster.....repeat. over and over and over.
We always had to get attached to individual players to show our successes...hopefully team wins and trophies can begin replacing that idea.

Keep recruiting all the 5*!

Just a few...over the years....
:rotflmao:

Regardless...I figured it was, but don't care...
That is my 2018 prediction!

A lone sundressed tri delt rebel girl passes out in the grove, showing enough skin to elicit smirks and stares, but not enough to make the internet. Her "friends" are nowhere to be found.

Ole Miss wins coin toss, takes the ball, but gives up TD in the first 2 or 3 plays anyway.
Lots of injuries on OM side.
A host of retaliation penalties and ejections on both sides later in the game.
No "official" handshake. A shoulder pat from Saban.
52-9 Bama

A lone Reb gets neck punched on the way back to the grove after drunk heckling a left handed middle aged female Bama fan. Her wedding rings draw blood.
That article is a perfect candidate for TL:DR but if you read it, you will want to run through the nearest brick wall and get to the nearest voting booth!

Mark Fox - the clever choice for UGA-AD!
Hahahahaha. :usa:
Nope.
He was on the ATL AAU circuit around that time. That guy was pure class. Another great dude who was probably also "uncorruptable" if you will. Though, he did play for Pitino...

I remember seeing his HS team play Griffin HS and Darren Hancock one year in a region tournament. Maybe 1989 or 90?
Ridiculous ballers!
Yes. I recall DJ having that sprint QB draw out of the shotgun after a shuffle step back to a throwing stance. There were a some run plays for him over the years, but the essence of the rotation in 2004 wasn't that each QB had different plays or concepts with totally different strengths. Richt wanted them both to spin it downfield...because they both could... (and I remember jackwagons in Sanford screaming for Shockley at every incompletion by Greene, and vice versa) ....Never satisfied ....
That is my only point...

I think we all loved both of those guys. DGD's for sure.

On another note, didn't Peyton Manning take a job from an injured starter?....Actually 2 injured starters...Colquitt and Helton.....
Good stuff meansonny!

I was interested in 2004 with the 2 QBs both getting game reps. Shock played in 10 games, 24 rushes 113 yards. 4+ yards per rush. Not bad, but he wasnt running RPO or zone read type options between the tackles...That's 2.4 rushes per game....I'd doubt many, if any, of those 2.4 rushes per game were designed runs. Likely good scrambling when plays broke down with a few 10-15 yarders sprinkled in.

All that to say that 2 QB rotation in 2004 (mostly Greene of course) wasn't specifically for a change of pace or for running plays. It was respect for 2 guys that could spin it and play ball, who developed at similarly one year apart.

Just a long way around to say a QB rotation isn't always bad...maybe rarely good but not always bad, and we've seen it succeed before at UGA.

I am not lobbying for it this year, but it wouldn't bother me either as long as W's are the result!!

Cheers!
I wish this thread was more well attended.
It could be a good one!

Though I guess no one wants to reverse course on CMF and actually retract the "we should be doing anything and everything (cheating) to get 4 and 5 star ATL AAU recruits" - I am truly giddy that we aren't (apparently) involved....it is a nice feeling to have!

From personal experience, I can attest that the recruiting game is VERY "fuzzy" - even for the most upright and "clean" schools.

As a HS BB player, ATL AAU guy in the early 90's - I got a partial BB scholarship to a very prestigious southern university just because of my friendship and affiliation with a BIG TIME 5* prospect (I didn't know that was the "play" at the time - I was 17, I thought I earned it). I received lots of things I shouldn't have (no actual cash) and I wasn't a major influencer in Mr. 5* decisions.

As I was a year ahead of 5* guy, when I was in my FR year of college, MY mother got DAILY calls from my coaches to talk about Mr. 5* - she was asked to do all sorts of odd and illegal recruiting things, which she mostly "bless your hearted" her way out of....I told her it would all go away as soon...apparently, the coaches weren't allowed to talk to me about it...it did go away soon....along with my perks....

Mr. 5* and family was "uncorruptable" and I still love them for it. I "lost" my partial scholarship and practice squad spot at the end of the year after he signed elsewhere.....

That is just a tiny peek into a minor event in early 90's ATL BB stories. I am sure the shoe companies, agents, social media, camps, colleges and coaches have made it FAR FAR worse today!

Heads are going to roll over this, but I think the FBI & SEC (Sec Exch Com) is after the Corporations, Shoe Comapanies, and Agents. They just have to work from the bottom up by turning up the heat on the guys that don't have $500/ hr legal teams, etc.

These are not "victimless" crimes. This stuff is blackmail, extortion, fraud, bribery, tax fraud, money laundering, racketeering, gambling, point shaving, etc.
In a social sense it is the worst kind of moral breakdown...It is big business extorting people and families who need every extra advantage they can get in the disguise of "amatuer" athletics. (trickling down through lots of middle men of course)

The CBB system may not crumble entirely, but this is going to be quite interesting and it will DEFINITELY put "one and done" on life support!!
I think as UGA fans we have (unknowingly) become overly loyal to individual players and they become our point of pride, for whatever reason, and we hang our hearts on single players because we always knew (note the past tense) that the team/coaches would somehow let us down by derping a game (or 5) away each season.

This Fromm / Eason debate highlights the way that fans of the same team can rationalize and argue endlessly in circles about one player over another in almost any scenario imaginable. Hopefully, Kirby's system will pan out as he outlines/describes it and we as a fan base can just enjoy whoever trots out on the field, knowing there is another qualified guy right behind him on the bench ready to go no matter what happens.

I think our big QB debate is a sympton of our deep distrust of any real recruiting depth, young player preparedness, and overall coaching over the last 30+ years. We are looking for our "But Stafford was awesome arguments and points of pride" even though those teams didn't quite put it all together for the perfect season...we can still brag on individuals...

I am committed to the "G" - not Fromm or Eason. Hey, let 'em both sit behind Fields or whoever is next in line! I will become a fan of the individual when they are in the NFL or killin it in the real world!
I personally LOVED the 2 QB when it was Greene and Shock.
I know it is freakin taboo to be knowledgable and like having 2 QBs. (You have 2 = you have none)

Shock didn't run much, and neither did Greeney...and that worked out well!

Someone remind me, Did Richt ever have any DESIGNED runs for Shockley? I don't remember the offense working that way.
Though, he did have some nice long runs...

Just win, baby! Play 5 QBs - lets get this perennial playoff train rolling!
I hear ya.

I was a gamer in HS BB. I was a horrible practicer and always was. The JV guys made me look foolish in practice. But I always performed in the games....not as a starter of course, because starters generally have to do BOTH, unless you just got no talent on the roster.

I guess I just don't see the point in the debate, until there is a scenario where there is a potential change.

1) Both healthy, both practicing....and there is an imbalqnce (Fromm with experience and Eason practicing better)

2) Fromm struggling on the field, with Eason healthy and practicing well.

3) Eason returns to start, and struggles with a healthy, experienced Fromm on the bench.

I am all in on those debates....I just try to channel my limited mental capacity very efficiently. But the debate is entertaining for sure, just as a chat board is intended!

I'll hang up and read...
Hey DawgsLife
Not attacking your post, you got some great comments based on experience!

I just don't understand the scrutiny at this point or why anyone really cares who is QB as long as he is kicking @ss!
Carry on with the unending and unwinnable debate.

Oh yeah, I beleive Eason is hurt (day to day), so he isn't starting at TN....just in case anyone was unclear.
Fromm will start until Kirby and the coaches feel Eason is a BETTER option that Fromm. I don't care who it is, our how they throw it, or what the yardage is, or the catchability, or the timing...the coaches will put the best guy out there.

They called me for my opinion yesterday, but I told them "Yo, Kirbs, you got this!"
