Ohio State is loaded with talent. All he had to do was control the ball and not turn it over . Instead he threw pick after pick and chocked with the game on the line. He just isn’t the QB that can lead a team to the Natty.

It’s pretty obvious that he leaned on the defense and Dobbins all year. If they had a modern offense and a true DT QB like Lawrence they would’ve been able to beat an ACC team.

OState needs to fire their coaches.

If Fields is a bum, then Fromm ought to just hang up his cleats.

That was a game between two great teams. Both would have beat the dog shite out of us.

Just tragic how a team that played as great as Ohio State did in the first 13 games and a 16 point first half lead in the playoff was doomed because their QB couldn't make plays when it mattered most.

If we get rid of Coley UGA will be right back in top 4 and likely better than OSU. Clemson is a different animal.

We have to get rid of Coley AND hire an elite OC. Kirby hasn’t shown anything to indicate that he is capable of making a good OC hire, much less a truly dynamic one.

Even if we do that, it will still be an uphill battle because we are severely limited at the QB position.

Apparently, so is Ohio State. Can Fields win the big game?

Fromm won his first playoff game as a true freshman. And, Fromm did not throw any INTs.

Fromm had a better QB Rating than Fields in his first playoff game.

You would have to get rid of Fromm and get a better QB.

Except that Ohio State can actually score football points and Georgia can’t

He also played one of the worst defenses ever in a playoff game.

But he didn't throw a INT in the end zone to lose the game. In fact, he didn't throw 2 INTs in his game. Fields is in his second season, while Fromm was in his first.

I thought that was the big knock on Fromm.

"He can't win the big game!
"He chokes!"

People have been moaning over Fields since he left, and he did worse than Fromm in each of their playoff games.

Fields needed unbelievable catches by his WRs all game long....kind of like Fromm did in his first two years.
When Fromm's big time receivers all leave or get kicked off Fromm struggled. Odd.

Dude, if it makes you feel better to convince yourself that Fromm is better than Fields, knock yourself out. I’ll keep waiting for Fromm to reach a point where he doesn’t wet the bed against South Carolina and throw three picks

Fields threw two picks on the big stage.

I think people realize that Fields is better talent. We just get tired of hearing our fans dump on our players all the time. In the situation Georgia was in two years ago, Fromm was the easy (better)choice.

People somehow convince themselves that coaches will risk multi million dollar contracts so they can play players they like over more talented ones. That isn't going to happen.

ETA
Do you honestly believe Fields would have taken us to the playoffs with Coley as our OC?
Given the choice of a veteran WR running an incorrect route or a young inexperienced QB making the wrong read, you choose to believe the WR ran the wrong route?

I wonder if we wouldn’t have to suffer through all of this had we just held them on 2nd and 26 in OT. Because there’s No Way anyone in their right mind would be calling to sit the sophomore QB that just won us our first national championship in 37 years as a true freshman, and I don’t care who was behind him.

Hell he can’t even look for a second receiver.
