From my experience, 20 year olds still have genetics to improve.
Hell... redshirt freshmen may be 20 years old. I never see anyone imply that they are over the hill and can't improve athletically.

Agreed that 20 year olds still have room for physical improvement. However, steroids and dopng can extend the age range for continued improvement, so establishing an upper end age cutoff for possible improvement is difficult

Good point.
My psychology was to get people to think of an athlete's peak. Baseball is often 28 years old. Football may be about the same or a couple of years younger due to wear on the bodies.
And then remind everyone that Elijah would enroll this coming fall as a 20 year old senior student athlete. Well before most people's athletic peak. Well within the range of aggressive natural growth hormones and testosterone.
The kid was one of the most consistent running backs in the country last season (I get why he is coming out). But he is far from a physical finished product. He is most likely one who could have improved draft stock (hands, footwork, agility, and finishing speed).

After 3 years at uga, and 2 months of sprint prep, he remains the same thing he was when he arrived. He never was Fast and never will be fast.

There are a number of outfits who do a great job with the science of running and body mechanics. I have personally witnessed their success in improving 40 times and other measurables. To say a 20 year old has no runway for improvement is ignorant and proves one has no understanding of the subject.

It doesnt matter anyway, his position is designed for 3-8 yd gains with an occassional breakaway if a defender slips. His 40 is irrelevant. Short range agility and power are the tools of his trade.

Ding ding ding. You can watch that 40 yard attempt and know that he is sacrificing time due to poor technique. He's not a burner, but he's also not slow... his game speed is better than his straightline speed. This performance will cost him in the draft, but ultimately, it's not going to impact whether he makes it in the league or not.

He has been training his arse off just to do that run. He just isn’t the guy that’s gonna break into the 4.6 range. Every person has a max out area in regards to speed. Once it’s hit......it’s hit.

Professional athletes typically do not max out their speed at 20 years old.
If you are implying that elijah isn't a true professional athlete at the next level, then that is a completely different point.
I think he has the work ethic and discipline to improve. Agree to disagree, I guess.

Some max out early in this modern era of training. He wouldn’t be the first. Coming back to school in hopes to run a 4.69 doesn’t provide much of an incentive in regards to nfl future.

You aren’t even good at spinning arguments on subjects you know nothing about. You are either clueless or a solid troll.

No spin needed. That was a terrible read by you regarding my take concerning elijah’s speed. You think a bit too much of yourself despite your obvious intellectual limitations. I guess that’s just another one or hour flaws.

You suck at discussing the topic at hand, but you are even worse at trash talk. Better off if you would just stop typing.

I already fully and accurately discussed the topic. You are making shite up. If you are gonna troll, at least run with a schtick.
