Coaching aside, what are the actionable steps we can do to be more consistent on offense

We haven’t been very consistent. We have all the talent but outside of the o-line, we’ve been very inconsistent from game and I have every confidence that our offense can play at a very high level. But we see small things creeping in. i.e. Fromm throwing off his back foot. So what is immediately correct: what are things like that we can fix immediately?

more play action....Fromm has awesome stats on the PA. Hes throwing for near 70% and 9TDs and 0ints. That TD pass Saturday had Herrien open underneath and TE open back of endzone.

Keep in mind, Fromm has only thrown an INT in 1 game.

PS - I think its coming together at the right time. Our OLine is mostly healthy and watching Trey on DBrown was just a thing of beauty.

Punter has come a LONG way from when we were going to hold open tryouts

Cager back healthy will be big as well. This team will be able to control the clock and run at will against LSU.

You either take what they give you, or decide to force things, which is more explosive, risk/reward etc.

If they're just going to use man coverage and stack the box, then fromm needs to keep the ball on more runs. Even if he just slides for 3 or 5 yds.

Bunch formations fake dive where tight end squirts out for a quick 11 yd hit over middle.

Develop a strategy for the other team's weaknesses not for our strengths. Use the middle of the field. At all really. Slants, quick outs, hitches. More motion. Easier reads to get into the progression after target 1. Remember that we actually have a TE. Don't ever use James "Finger Tackle" Cook up the middle again.

In short, take what the defense gives you and don't try to force your offensive strategy.

I'm not an X's and O's expert, but I despise when we bunch everyone on the LOS and have no receivers split out. Defenses sell out on the run and we usually get stuffed.

Can someone explain this to me?

I can't recall doing that before Chaney was OC.

More play action out formations where Fromm is under center. I would also like to see Fromm keep it on zone read plays more often. Most importantly, more fricking slants. We run fewer slants than any team I've ever seen.

If the officials would call 10% of the defensive holding/pass interference on our receivers we'd get an extra 100 ypg. I can't recall ever seeing our receivers get grabbed by the arms, tackled, face masked, climbed over or just plain mugged like they have this year, with the benefit of so few calls.

Auburn was called for PI 4 times in the Florida game, two on consecutive plays, and it made them play more legal pass defense. They did it all game long against Georgia and got called once. McCreary wasn't even playing the ball, just manhandled the receivers til the ball hit the ground.

A-bleepin-men.

It was downright dreadful what AU DB's got away with Saturday.

More up tempo when we get the right personnel match ups. Fromm does well when we do that and our defense is good enough to deal with it if we go three and out.

Even when we’re up, scoring again > burning 2 mins of clock and then punting.

It looks like the trend is to let these guys grab and claw each other with no calls. It’s been happening all season. Problem is as a defender you never know what is too much and when you get that PI call.

Honestly we have to get Swift outside more. We can't do shite between the tackles.

I like the Quick Toss we have installed for him the last couple of weeks. Continue to run Outside Zone as well. Also throw the swing route to him. It's essentially a toss sweep. We are wasting downs continuing to run Inside Zone with him. Herrian does a better job at that picking up those really hard yards between the tackles this year.

Go uptempo more often. It seems like that's when Fromm is at his best.

First off, we type out a certified letter addressed to the Athletic Department. In this letter, we will outline the suggestions of the deformed miserable mongotards of the Georgia Sewage board who have never coached a down much less called plays. And here's the kicker.... At the end of this letter, we threaten mass suicide if mean mr. visor man doesn't start scoring more points!

After that, I'd be shocked if we don't average 50 points a game going forward

Out of all the idiotic suggestions in this thread this is the one that makes the most sense. It certainly was the case vs Auburn.

I dont remember that it was the tight end, but I was excited to see both guys open on that play. We did scheme wolf open on that other touchdown (play action as well).

We still got down to a 3rd string RG in the game. Hill didn't get a lot of push in the run game. But I think he had a better game than he did in last years SECCG. He is getting better and better each week.

Run more two minute offense as we did to end the first half with the Barn. Yes D gets tired but it’s better than 9 3 and outs. I think, as good as our O line is we don’t make the holes as well as we should. Give the RB’s one or two additional steps in a gap and our yards really add up.
