Boy I keep hearing the radio guys talk about how cincy should get credit for playing us so close in the bowl game in January bc it was this calendar year.
1.) that was last season.
2.) this is not the same Georgia team from the pandemic with no spring camp and abbreviated fall camp with a new OC. That was not a championship caliber team. 2020 offense was not that good even with JT.
3.) I can’t remember but I’m sure someone here can list how many and which specific first team NFL draft players opted out of that game.

I honestly don’t think Cincinnati would be favored to beat another team in the top 10 on a neutral field. They may not be favored at home against the rest of the top 10. They get a LOT of credit for coming from behind to beat a bad Indiana team and for beating a Notre Dame squad that is once again overhyped but completely average. Things may change by the end of the season, but if I am the head coach of any other team in the top 10, I am not scared of Cincinnati.

Team I am most sick of hearing about. The fact that they are sitting at #2 over teams like Oklahoma and Michigan - or even Alabama with one less - is a laugh.

A lot of radio guys and analysts don't know 90 percent of what they are talking about

do you not think they can say these exact same things?

they dont have that many of these guys but they had players missing too. not as many as we did, though.

wtf do you want cincinnati to do, man? play us close? check. beat notre dame on the road? check. win every other game they play? check.

no, i dont think they are nearly as good as us or bama or ohio state, but there's obviously nothing that they can do to make you think they are a good team.

Not have to beat 1-5 Navy in the last 30 seconds? Beat them 62-0 like we beat Vandy?

not what happened at all, but it's obviously true that they didnt completely dominate.

they arent as good as us! no one is, hopefully. every other team struggles in games, many lose.

I watched the game. Navy had the ball with 30 seconds left and they had to int the ball to secure a 7 point win. Against 1-5 Navy,

Some interesting scenarios playing out with no loss teams and one loss teams.

Cincinnati is in now but lost some style points they needed. See if they can handle the pressure.

Pitt suddenly is a wild card but with an ugly loss. They need to hope a bad Wake Forest team wins out.

OU somehow doing the least would not get in with a loss IMO.

Mich/Mich St and Ohio State would get in if they win out.

Bama has emerged lol. They get in with one loss if they beat us. Ole Miss could be in the same situation if they win out.

Oregon also now doing the least but has the Ohio State win and possible conf championship.

At least 11 teams truly in the mix at this point.
