Where do you live? Did you go to uga? When? If not how are you a uga fan?

I'm from Baton Rouge but my dad came to grad school here in the 70s and I fell in love with Athens and uga. My entire ENTIRE family went to LSU but I went to Augusta College and MCG. After school got a career opportunity here in Athens and have been living my dream since 1997. My wife got her PhD at UGA and I'm now on faculty here too, so not a grad but a little bit more than a 'sidewalk' fan right?

Georgia native. Born and raised a UGA fan. Got accepted to Tech and some other good schools but chose UGA. Got there in 1996, stayed in Russell Hall. I remember camping out by Stegman for $12 season tickets. But for a brief 3.5 year foray in Charleston SC on business, I stayed in Athens until 2017 when life circumstances brought me closer to ATL (a mistake in hind sight, I wish I was still in Athens/Oconee, but made sense at the time). Wife is a UGA Vet grad with a BS from UGA ag school. My 6yo son's first real game (not a Spring game) was this year's Chas So game.

Born and raised in Hall Co, GA. Georgia fan because I was raised that way.

Went to UNG because I was a shitty high school student. Have some family that went to UGA, but most went to small schools like me.

College football was my first love in sports, and the Dawgs have always been the team. I root for the Falcons, Braves, Hawks, etc., but nothing compares to my love for Georgia football and probably never will.

Born in Dunwoody. Moved to Jackson County during middle school. Parents still live there.

I attended UGA from 2007 to 2011 which is really when my love of Georgia football took off. Graduated in the fall with a BS in Agriculture Business and picked up everything for a job in the Louisiana/MS Delta. Now I've been in Arkansas for 5 years and planting my roots. Been carrying the UGA pride with me everywhere I go and try to make it back to 1 game every year.

I lived in Little Rock for 3 years. Flew on a helicopter all over the state and got to know everything from mcgee to mountain home lol. Little Rock felt isolated but it is one helluva pleasant and livable city. Underrated state. GREAT folks. Football crazy but take their lumps with class. Sincerely hope Pitboss brings them real success.

UGA graduate. Started as a freshman in the Fall of 1967. Freshman year I lived in the Reed Hall Sub Basement with a great window view of the parking lot. I saw all of Jake Scott's games in Athens but never attended another game after 1968. I hated Vince Dooley after he betrayed the 1968 team.

Born in Ringold Georgia but was raised in Fitzgerald Georgia. Alot of my buddies in South Georgia were Florida and FSU fans but I loved the Dawgs. I did not attend UGA - Did go to ABAC and worked for UGA for a brief period of time in my youth. Last game I went to was a few years back and it was a cream puff game so nothing to brag about but I don't have much free time to make it to games. I live down in the Panhandle and with two kids and their busy sports schedule combined with my addiction to golfing we don't leave the area much anymore.

I will say this, Athens night life is probably one of the greatest I've ever been apart of. Everytime I go I have a good time.

Didn’t attend UGA. Navy brat raised all throughout the SE. I became a UGA fan in 2007 while I was deployed with a Louisiana unit. That decision was solidified when Jarrett Lee threw two pick sixes in Baton Rouge in 2008. I spent every moment on my motorcycle in a UGA shirt riding around that campus.

I currently live in Richmond Hill and I’m looking to move upstate to have some acreage. My last game in Athens was the Charleston Southern game.

Grew up in Newnan, live in Douglasville.

My father was UGA Class of ‘61 so I was raised from day one to be a Dawg. But technically I am a sidewalker since I went to West Georgia for my Undergrad and Thomas University for my Master’s. Not having a degree from UGA is one of my disappointments but life had other plans for me I guess.

My first UGA game was the ‘89 Peach Bowl and my favorite player on that team was Bill Goldberg since I was a lineman too. We squandered a pretty decent 4th quarter lead that day and lost to Syracuse. I’ve been to several games in my life in Athens and one at Ga Tech where Mike Bobo led us from behind with a last minute TD pass to steal victory from the Nerds.

Although I have a bunch of beloved Dawgs going back to the 80’s Dooley era (45 years old) my heart belongs to Nick Chubb.

Born and raised in Thomas Co. Ga. Became a UGA fan in the late 70s….the 1978 team hooked me. College locally was my only option in 1986, so I did not attend UGA. Probably would have partied my way right out the door, anyway, so my parents obviously knew what they were doing when they told me I needed to stay home. I never went to a game until I was in my late 40s and my first one was with my grown son, who is just as big a UGA fan as I am. The first pair of socks we put on his feet when he was born had a UGA logo on them. Since then, we try to go to a game a year, except for the Covid year when we couldn’t.

I was born is Cheyenne Wyoming but moved to Georgia when I was 11 years old. I graduated from Pike County High School in Zebulon Ga in 1998.

Didn’t know what college football was until I moved to Georgia in 1992 and started learning about the Georgia Bulldawgs. Eric Zeir and Garrison Hearst were my favorite players on offense and Randall Godfrey and Charlie Clemmons on defense.

Unfortunately my dreams of attending UGA never matriculated so I immediately enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after graduating high school.

I never stopped following or cheering for UGA in my 20 years in the Corps. I’ve had family and friends attend UGA and like a lot of you, attended numerous games. My favorite game I ever went to was the Sugar Bowl against Hawaii when I witnessed Colt Brennen running for his life! I guess the SEC Championship Game against Bama where Conley caught the tipped pass as time expired was the most depressing game I’ve attended.

I am super critical of UGA and this year I have targeted Kirbs and his decision to play Stetson. Of course I know the coaches know better than I do however blind loyalty is never a positive characteristic to have. I have been right on some of my opinions about UGA coaches and players and I have been wrong about UGA coaches and players. That’s what makes following sports all the better.

I love the banter on the GSB and I appreciate every comment/upvote/downvote! We all want to end the “1980” trolls! Thanks for allowing me to post here.

*I did play football with former UGA Defensive Lineman Jonathan Sullivan growing up.

Grew up in northeast PA and moved to Georgia with my family after my freshman year of college in 2001. Transferred into UGA and graduated from Franklin in 2005. Didn’t appreciate dressing up for games until I got here, having been raised going to PSU games in jeans and jerseys. Was on the waterski and wakeboard team at UGA, and a member of Pi Kappa Alpha. Last game was the Clemson game here in Charlotte, where I live now with my wife and 3 year old son. Actually found out she was pregnant with him the morning of 1/8/18, before I left the house to head down to Atlanta for our last championship game. And thank God I found out that morning because it made the loss a little less painful as I sat in the Bama alumni section watching the Tua play to DeVonta develop from the opposite end zone.

Born in Florida and grew up in Rincon, GA. Have pretty much been here all my life except college (UGA) and the Navy taking me all over this great land. Returned to the area permanently in 2013. Divorced with two kids (my daughter got the little UGA family window stickers for Christmas and said we have to put them on our Tahoe, so what's a Dad to do?). Took them to their first UGA game this year vs Charleston Southern - now they both want to attend UGA.

Huge history/military buff. I’m into metal detecting and when I don’t have the kids can usually be found in the woods when I have time, which seems very little. Avid outdoorsman.
