Arizona Cardinals will start Carson Beck in the Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio. Beck is the 3rd string QB but #1 and #2 will not suit up. Will any Dawg fan tune in to see him?

Tbh I really don't care very much for beck. He had an amazing 2023 season and looked like a future pro. I think he he leaves that offseason he's a top 15 pick.

In 2024, either due to his own off-field issues and/or lack of actually giving a crap, or potentilally due to the gigantic loss of talent from 2023 to 2024, he simply wasn't the same guy. Missed reads, poor throws, horrendous interceptions. And he never seemed to be able to actaully LEAD the team and act like a QB is supposed to. Then of course he bolts for a bigger payday where he predictably choked away on the big stage.

I like all guys that willingly choose to play for UGA, but don't care quite as much if they also turn around and willingly choose to play somewhere else too.

I’m way more interested to see what Stetson does and if he can nail down the #2 spot.

I just don’t see enough talent in Ty Simpson to step in after 1 year of starting college ball dethroning Stet in that system.

Beck- Had is chance to be a DGD for life and got douchey.

Bennett- A career as a back up NFL QB has to be one of the most sought after jobs.

I'll root for Beck in the NFL. He's a strange dude, but he waited his turn at Georgia and went 24-3 as starter. Also it's not like the coaches were begging for him to come back for one more year and he shunned the progrem.

that should tell you all you need to know shouldn't it? Guy was mostly successful and an upperclassman and our players and coaches didn't really GAS if he stayed or left.

that's like tlaking about buck belue's record as a starter. Sure it looks good on paper but I'm not sure how much influence beck actually had on that record. I've been watching a ton of old games lately and it's almost comical how much worse he was in 2024 than in 2023. Some quick hitters from his last year at UGA:

Kentucky: 160 yards, 0 TDs, a fumble
Bama: 54% completion percent, 3 INT, 3 sacks, lost fumble
Texas: 175 yards, 0 TDs, 3 INT
UF: 2 TDs, 3 INT
OM: 186 yards, 0 TD/1 INT, 5 sacks, 2 fumbles
SECCG (1 half): 7 for 13, 56 yards, lost fumble

There are some guys that decided to leave that I don't really have ill will towards like the OLB/Edge that went to FS. There are others that I do, like jermaine burton. With Beck I'm not saying I hate the guy, but I don't really have a soft spot for him either.

Becks problem isn't ability, its attitude. That and in the moments that Stetson shined, Beck shrinks and throws an int.

oh 100%. In 2023 he was great and made some awesome throws. Then in 2024 once he didn't have bowers and ladd anymore it's like any little adversity he faced he just completely blew it mentally. Some of those picks I mentioned (the florida game specifically comes to mind) were just beyond head scratching. LIke I don't have the slightest clue what the frick he was even thinking

I will tune in to laugh at him and see how shitty he does against crap opponents.

frick that dude. I don’t care about the NFL career, or any other sport, of an athlete that chooses to leave our program and go elsewhere. Either end a Dawg or you were never a Dawg.

He was crying in the locker room at halftime. Kirby had to give him a pep talk and hype him up in front of the whole team. Dudes a joke

No. He had Bowers and McConkey to bail him out numerous times with incredible catches that were not on target.

both things can be true. He threw a post route for a TD to ladd against OM in 2023 was an absolutely elite NFL throw. He doesn't make that throw in 2024.

A blind pig can find an acorn. I imagine by 2024 the locker room was tired of his shite.

I'm just not interested in the NFL. I don't care if he's a UGA grad.

The HOF game is atrocious football. I would only watch if I had a family member involved.

I likely wont watch.

But I wish him nothing but the best. I think it was classy that he stepped aside for gunner and didn't cause a big stink and try to return.

ETA: especially given he's clearly a douche
