That our offense was atrocious last year?

Blame it on whatever you want but we couldn't move the ball or play a possession game to save our life. It felt like we either went 3&out or squeaked out a field goal every drive.

Here's to a brighter future on that side of the ball

Yea sure whatever. But on to this year, assuming there is an uninterrupted season, I worry about how good we’ll be considering all the lost spring practice time and potential summer workout and practice time with installing a new offense.

I'm still of the opinion that the run blocking wasnt good enough.

I'm of the opinion that we didnt run enough power schemes. We didnt leverage angles and pulling/lead blockers.
I'm of the opinion that the runners didn't cut the inside runs outside enough (either by coaching or by skillset).

I agree that we were lacking on the offensive side of the ball.

I would also say that our defense would take a hit if the offense was faster paced and scored more

I still think we have been top 6 the last 3 years, including 3 SEC East Championships, 1 SEC Championship, and 1 Championship game which we took to OT.

We are not as far off as tRant would like us to be

What do you mean agree "now"? We've known this since October

Spring practice being cancelled was a huge blow to us. We really needed Newman to gel with the new offense. Hopefully, Monken is as good as we think he can be and can get our offense ready in one month.

I share this opinion and my theory on why is because I think Kindley and Hill played too heavy last season and weren't quick enough to pull. Whoever drafts Kindley is going to make him lose 20 pounds or so.

I don’t think you know what the word atrocious means.

I want to talk about last year's offense as much as I want to talk about COVID19. I just want touchdowns. And brunch. I miss brunch.

We also missed Galliard much more than anyone thought.

I might be the exception to expectations in 2019. Hill struggled at guard in 2018, was an underclassman, and Gaillard was an excellent fit for the offense. I always had Hill as a question mark at C going in to the 2019 season.

I still wonder if Hill would be better at Guard. But C is such a difficult position, there are downsides to breaking someone new in there as well.

Good news is all D1 programs are in the same situation fundamentally. This needs to be seen as a leadership/coaching challenge. How will the players and coaches respond and what are they able to take advantage of under quarantine? Loads of time to deep dive into a playbook, watch film, hold Google Hangouts to teach the playbook and of course--workout. Doesn't replace hands on coaching but football at this level is as much cerebral as it is physical. It will be obvious who was disciplined in this period. It will show who treats this period like a "snow day" and who does not.

Yes, we have known this since the Vandy game when we struggled to move the ball. BAMA but over 60 points on them.

If you watch Miami's offensive plays with Coley there on youtube, they are the same unimaginative plays that he brought to UGA.

Literally 1:1

Coley called some imaginative plays. But we weren't good at executing them.

I'm of the opinion that we scrapped everything that we spent the offseason working on pretty quickly. But then we are a young team drawing plays up during the week and trying to get a high level of execution out of them. And that just wasn't us.

Ironically, we ran power schemes in the bowl game and there appeared to be signs of success despite the lack of studs at tackle/RB.

Not Bama - at least not by week 3. It's near certain Jones will be the starter and they should be more in sync. Hopefully the D will be enough of an advantage to make up the difference.

Also, Newman has a knack for the kind of big plays that can give that O a puncher's chance on every possession. He has excellent accuracy down the field

Our OC stunk and was in over his head. Fromm regressed. Given those two factors, is it really a surprise the offense struggled. Both of those factors will not be part of the equation next season. It will be interesting to see what happens.

I’m still of the opinion that we won’t have a season this year.

Anyone who thought our offense didn't struggle need to be drug tested...

Struggle is not the same as atrocious. I suggest y’all read books so you can learn words and stuff.

1. I suggest you learn how to place a comma. 2. Struggle means to have difficulty with something, that was our offense all season. Get educated
