The WSLS podcast is looking at how we treat Fromm and his 3 year career and how that will be used by other SEC schools to negatively recruit against us (comparing Fromms treatment to Tuas).

If Tua played like Fromm, Bama fans would have treated him very differently. You get what you earn.

Tua never won an SECCG. He didnt start in the NCG.

It is about optics. And the spin isnt from our fanbase or media. It is from the coaches trying to tell families that we dont know how to treat a good thing while we have it (and they arent wrong)

Tua doesnt have a heisman.
Tua has 1 division title.
Tua has 1 conference championship.
Tua has a game where he played a good 1/2 to win a national championship.

Take away that half... tua is the same if not worse than Fromm in terms of contributions to the program.

Fromm doesnt have a heisman. But he has 3 division titles (never been done before at uga)
Fromm has 1 conference championship (and he didnt need the backup QB to win it for him)
Fromm had a good 1/2 in a national championship game.

And if you switched Fromm and Tua's stats this season, Tua would be the one getting criticism from fans, not Fromm. It's the same at every program; passing game struggles, quarterback play gets dissected and criticized by fans. Other coaches can point this out, and Kirby can point out similar examples at their program too.

The argument is that 2019 is the same fromm as 2018.
The difference is the pieces around him and the regression of the offense around him.

Did Fromm miss targets in 2018?
Did he misread an open receiver?
Yes.
Hes the same QB that had a ton of hype after the SECCG against Bama.
But the offense was different.
And yet the fans treat Fromm like he was the one who was different (see fromm with Cager / Pickens / Wims / Holloman).
He gets treated like crap despite always saying the right thing and doing the very best that he can.

Aren’t there 4000000 other Fromm threads this can be posted in?

Tua led bama to a national title and followed that up with back to back 200 passer rating seasons. Had Fromm done that, he would be celebrated as an elite QB who won a national title. Fromm got what he gave this year.

This story is as old as football. There's an old cliche; the backup quarterback is the most popular player on the team. You seem to think that Fromm was treated differently by UGA fans than every other qb elsewhere, but he wasn't.

My advice to any qb would be if you can't take the heat, don't become a quarterback. Because when you struggle to complete passes, the heat is coming.

Agreed. Can we get back to this thread being about Cade and you ladies go back to almost every other thread on this board to bemoan your misfortunes regarding Fromm and Fields?

With all due respect to Drew Butler, if you switched Fromm and Tua's stats this year, Fromm would be leaving to UGA fan accolades and Bama fans would be saying good riddance to Tua. Most Georgia fans have been about as understanding about Fromm's problems this season as you could possibly expect a fan base to be. No QB gets cheered when the passing game sucks.

If Fromm wants to get paid for his discomfort, I doubt any reasonable person will object, but if he expects NFL fans (or media) to be lovey dovey when the offense struggles, he's in for a surprise.

Preach, sir.

You don't deserve your way into anything in sports. You earn it. If that's the reason Jake is leaving, I have to amend my earlier statement and say good luck & good riddance.

Now back to Cade. Good luck and & Good riddance.

Does anyone remember what Pruitt did at Cade’s school when Fulmer and Pruitt visited back in 2017?

Allegedly it was pretty embarrassing and only hurt UTk’s chances of landing Cade back then

I'm guessing it didn't involve a folding chair.

Typical lawyer. Implies that UGA lies in a 5 sentence statement but refuses to name the lie because hed get hit with libel/defamation.

Because there is no lie. Radi has gone into detail exactly what happened, how he broke the story, etc. the reporter Mars referred to didn’t break the story and as Radi pointed out no reporter in their right mind is going to disclose their source to a lawyer

Probably a hot take, but I don’t really blame Cade in this situation. He seemed happy to be a Dawg in the Sugar Bowl and this could have entirely been sprung on him.
