That what I said at all but I don’t think Richt would’ve been a slam dunk either

I get that but if you looked at McGarity's resume before the hire you'd have thought he was a perfect fit
but he was essentially career guy that didn't ruffle any feathers, kissed arse and was surrounded by other talented people like Foley at UF.

To go back to UTk? That's not a very good example.

I think he was averaging 35 ppg in his last couple of years and was in the top 25 nationally offensively. Please (anyone) correct me if I’m wrong cause I’m pulling that off the top of my 54 yr old brain. If he wasn’t a good OC why did a D-1 school come calling?

I didn't say he wasn't a good OC. I really, really liked Bobo. He just isn't an Air Raid throw the ball 40 times a game type OC. And I am sure your stats are correct. We had very good success with Bobo, and I think he was OC of the year one year? I, and i think WG defended him against a lot of our fans that criticized him incessantly.

Same here.

Sorry I didn't make myself clearer in my earlier post.

Colorado State was 14th in the nation in passing yards per game despite using a 2nd string QB for most of the season.

While passing 445 times an running 395 times. Like I said about 55/45.

He is not an Air Raid offense type guy, which it sounds like some on here are wanting. I have no problem with having more passing yards.

Oklahoma had done rather well with a 55/45 run/pass combination. But their runners run better and their receivers catch better. Maybe that is the difference.

I agree. I'm not sure if you are agreeing with me, or you misunderstand the point I was making. Either way, we are agreeing with each other.

I would like a little more passing game, but not overly pass heavy. As I said more 55/45 with more vertical routes.

Right now we are going pass/run at a 40/60 ration (Or somewhere near that) and I would rather 55/45.

That's just me personally.

If you follow the stats during the game, we are usually pretty balanced. When the numbers start to skew towards run heavy is late in the game when we are trying to eat up the clock. I feel like we are balanced, just not efficient outside of the Florida game.

My guy sent me this “ your coach’s plane from Athens landed in Las Vegas and then took off an hour later to Van Nuys. Think that is one of their bases. That equipment is headed to Orlando today. Two flights out of Fort Collins of note today. One to Memphis and one to Topeka. They are close enough to DEN that it is possible some of your coaches would be flying out of there.”

Was Vegas a fuel stop or did the plane have the range to go non stop to van nuys?

Nevermind, it is a citation x with plenty of range though it could have still been a fuel stop. We went fist class with this charter if true. Also could have been a required rest stop depending on how long the pilots have been at it.

Legit point. It just seems that in close games we tend to stay with the run even when it is being stuffed consistently. It might just be my impression, though.

Also, we have not had the RB's that can consistently break the long one this year. It seems Swift was more effective when he had a big, strong back that could pound it up the middle, and get the LB's to crash the middle of the line, then Swift would start toward the middle and break it to the outside. Herrien just can't pound the ball like Chubb or Holyfield could. Cook seems to go down on first contact more often than not.

Next year should be interesting. White is big, strong and can pound the middle of the line, and I think McIntosh will be able to, too. Cook will need to step up and be the speed guy to the outside.

Yes, I see your point, and it's legit.

So looking more and more like keeping coley and taking Luke. That would open door to recruiting options as well
