I retired from Delta. Millennials? No. They kept the Delta name and brought in a ton of Northwest people to run the airline, though, and yes, they are woke. Northwest was located in Minnesota, so that gives you an idea. But, Delta fights with airport authority all the time. They certainly do not run anything. It sickens me at how woke they have become, though. It is not the old Delta by any stretch of the imagination.

They made a big deal how the wine was canned as part of their goal to become carbon neutral. I’m flying on a jet to Munich with 180 people that burns 5 tons of fuel per per hour, but don’t worry, Delta recycles the cans of all the shite wine I’m fixing to drink.

The only thing I like about the Atlanta airport is I get to eat lunch at Paschals. Flying out of Huntsville to almost anywhere requires a stop so I plan my flights through Atlanta with an hour or more layover so I can eat there.

When Atlanta had their Pride Parade they put a Delta float in it. Ok. No problem there, really. BUT, they had forced Overtime for one shop and made them work on it.

That's one example that stood out for me. That said, I don't think there should ever be forced OT at all, but particularly when it is to work on a project that contradicts some employees personal beliefs.

ETA
I have heard it has gotten worse since I left....11 years ago. I would have to ask some friends of other examples.

This doesn't bother me. I actually think we (everybody) should do as much as we can to protect the environment short of forcing people to do stuff. But I try to conserve water, electricity and gas when possible. I just don't think it should be forced on people.

I get it, but you pay $8k for a ticket on a plane that is about to burn 50 tons of fuel and get canned wine because Delta is saving the environment. And they made a big deal about it. Give me a fricking break.

I got really sick of Paschal’s food the only time I ever had it at Hartsfield. Won’t eat it again either.

I get it, but it wasn't going to be some high class year/vintage wine either way. The food is usually decent enough. Hint: Whatever you do....DO NOT DRINK THE WATER OFF AN AIRPLANE!!! (Unless it is bottled) Trust me.

Exactly. People aren’t upset that individuals want to do their own thing. People don’t want to be forced to live and be ruled by other peoples ideas….that’s what bothers people and contradicts what our country was found upon

Atlanta has never thought big enough to get ahead of the urban sprawl. We don't have a problem with the limited-access Peach Pass lanes for the Northwest Corridor, yet they didn't think ahead to have North-south lanes 24/7. Instead, we have the retarded reversible lanes that add 5 mins to your trip time if you guess wrong or the GDOT cameras aren't working.

The lanes usually flip at 1 PM.

They do. It's the weekends that are up in the air.

And why they don't have a direct exit to the Braves Stadium is mystifying.

Indianapolis airport - Pre was 3 minutes longer than A gate. Baggage scanning process was exactly the same.

Next they will convince me social security should be collected up to $200k and I should wait until 70 to collect.

The Atlanta airport is probably one of the smoother operations going considering the sheer volume of travelers they handle on a daily basis. I’ve been to many that were faaaar worse.

If you’re traveling domestic with only a carry-on, check in to your airline via the app and go through the international terminal TSA. I’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes.

Pre-check isn’t worth it anymore, too many people have it now. CLEAR is way better. Not the CLEAR with pre-check, basic level CLEAR. Always the shortest line in the domestic terminals, especially on high volume days like Mondays and Fridays.

I can believe that

With many family now calling ATL home, all cited the airport as a primary for choosing. 60 to 30 crowd so they still travel a lot for work and play.

I fly through ATL more than from, but I had them drop me off at the F terminal and it took 30 mins. I have pre and clear. Don’t recall seeing a clear lane. They also didn’t have all the machines running/manned.

Yup, I have a Delta Skymiles Amex and it's free on domestic flights and I think to Canada and Mexico.

We also try to travel with just a carryon whenever possible and use the International Terminal. Easy Peasy...

So, you can go through the international terminal and then come back to the domestic terminals?
