Fields is under no obligation to talk to the guy nor should Fields give him absolution.

Apparently it was in support of Fields coming in the game.
Pretty wild and unfortunate situation though. Be interesting to see if anything comes from it.
I realize that people shouldn't so and say stupid things. But every American has the right to do so. We can't pick and choose what someone can and cannot say. If he'd said "get that cracker out of the game" referring to Fromm, there would not be a word spoken about it. The dude's stupid and was probably drunk (if he even said it), but we live in a country where people are free to kneel while the National Anthem is playing, but if people say stupid things against blacks, they are immediately jumped upon. Double standard that has to stop. There's freedom of speech in America, which includes freedom to be stupid. And it should be afforded to all fools.

Explain to me why it was okay for Andrew Harrison to call this white kid a N**** and to not get kicked out of Kentucky but you expect the white kid that said it to get kicked out of Georgia.
Let’s see a link, and it’s simply not an offensive word to use towards a not black person, and that matters. Makes Harrison look like a complete idiot though.

The hilarious thing is this guy is probably a flat-bill-wearing hip-hop-listening white kid that was just trying to emulate and be like his hip-hop idols. By talking like them. Like so many white kids these days do.
That's the exact opposite of supposed boogey-man "racism".
This is a white kid trying to act cool by imitating black culture which he sees as cool.
And now coward morons with shite for brains want to ruin his life over it.
This culture today is almost too stupid for words. frick 75% of the people in this thread. Idiots.

Innocent until proven guilty. All we have is a woman saying what she heard. No video evidence, no audio evidence or witnesses supporting the claim to back it up. Haven't we learned from the past or present day situations that unless this is proven, we give the benefit of the doubt to the accused?

But saying black people can say it and white's can't is racism in itself.
To hold one race to a different standard than the other is racism.
If you can't understand why it's different, I don't know what to tell you...

Well for one thing, there's a history with the n-word of whites towards blacks. Not sure if you're aware of it, but it's not good.
Also, not that Harrison should have said it at all, but he said it under his breath. Just happened to get caught by the mics.

And we have kicked him off. Good riddance.

I hate to see anyone get kicked off a team or out of school for doing something stupid like that. No one was hurt. I certainly don't condone it either. We live in very hyper times.
I don't care to see or hear anyone making comments like that. I also don't like to hear people calling other people rednecks or hillbillies. When I am around my family we may refer to each other as being 'necks but I don't want to hear it from someone outside of my group. In fact I find that offensive to hear it from someone outside my group. When I say my group I mean Southern whites. The rest of the country hates us as it is.

Give us some more of this kindergartener history lesson please...
Are Americans the only ones with a racial slur for black Africans? Or does every culture on the globe have one for them?
Why do you think that is?
And why are there racial slurs by black Africans all over the globe toward other races and cultures and etc they encounter?
Hmmmmm
It would seem as though it’s a natural normal thing.
Morons

Stupidity is nothing if not natural. You've proved that.

I’m not saying that Americans are the most racist. Europe in general, but especially places like Italy are incredibly racist.
That doesn’t mean it excuses it here.
Also, this post is just a horrible, horrible thing to say unless I’m misinterpreting you.

I'm sure the faculty members that laud free speech will be along shortly to advocate for the guy. Right?

The University of Georgia certainly can. Your statement only applies to the government. There are always consequences to one's actions. UGA can't stop him from saying it but they can boot him from school.

If you can't tell the difference between an American citizen using his right to protest injustice and some white UGA baseball player calling the QB the "N word" then I don't know what to tell you.
UGA has no choice but to boot this idiot.

Ooooh! Two “horribles”???
Don’t clutch your pearls too hard or they might break.
What exactly are about to pass out on the feinting couch over, genius? That cultures and races all over the planet have derogatory words for each other????
Sorry to break it to you, but some blacks have words they say about you behind your back too.
Grow the frick up.

Multiple people heard him say it and reported it. You also need to learn the difference between a courtroom and a UGA campus.

Of course. Probably any minute..
Right after they’re done rallying to keep it legal for tens of millions of black babies to be murdered every year.
