How in the hell do you get labeled "mediocre" when you won a National Championship? How can you be a "mediocre" football player when you were selected ALL-SEC QB 1st team for two years in a row? Also was voted unanimously "SEC Athelete of the Year" in 1982. Won back to back SEC Championships.
Also how are you "mediocre" in radio when you have the longest running sports talk duo in the nation? The only other show that comes close is Mike and Mike, and they're not together most of the time.
Feel free to explain, or you can just keep putting down a man who brought the University a ton of Hardware.

Buck Belue existed in the second between taking the snap and handing the ball to 34. He also threw a pass to a really fast dude against Florida.

Because we had a dominant team with a dominant running back. They probably always gave the Athlete of the Year award to seniors. Herschel didn't fit that bill.
